US Election 2020
Re: US Election 2020
So what?
Those cyber attacks over the last couple days seemed consequential.
Zucker said some interesting things about how he managed the Hunter story. Project Veritas has released the audio.
No-one cares that the table is tilted toward Biden though. As long as the Dems get in, they don't even seem to care that Biden is already talking about turning it over to Harris. They don't care how blatantly the news media manages their opinions.

So what's the conclusion you reach from these three seemingly disparate statements?Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:28 pmSo what?

For me, I usually end up paying attention to how things are covered.
This is the 'rightie' focus, and if I consider how things are traditionally covered, the mainstream media will fall into line supporting the Democrats HARD, with various good reasons and some sketchy ones.
Ben Shapiro is MUCH more convincing than Anderson Cooper. Crowder is a lot funnier than Trevor Noah. The other thing is, comics on the left can say anything, even if it's a lie supporting their joke, but comics like Crowder will end up fact-checked. People will even treat 'Awaken with JP' as if it should be treated as fact-reporting. He is OBVIOUSLY mocking. I enjoy that he is a yoga, nutrition and spirituality enthusiast, who loves most of all making a mockery of it. There is a LOT of bullshit in the areas he covers, and if his jokes touch on serious things, and maybe make you talk some of those things over, so what?
There are flags I watch for, and they basically are leftie positions, where lefties deny that they are political positions at all. They instead insist that one can't even disagree without being evil. Those positions can be 'right' or 'wrong', but the insistence that they aren't political at all is the interesting thing, to me.
Watching how things are covered, again.
A reporter asked Biden how long he has known his son was under investigation. Biden turned around and thanked the reporters for congratulating him.
That does seem to be their job - congratulating the winners.
Salmon Rushdie once asked 'what would respectful satire look like?'. Soon, it will be the only kind of satire allowed.

Mr. Paul is more convincing than you, but I did clip very little out of his speech.
And the courts haven't said it, but...um...
Trump knows about the aliens. (no comment about their colour, though...which is probably just privilege rearing its ugly head)

Now, what are the odds that this ex-chief is selling a book with his pronouncements?A former Israeli space security chief has sent eyebrows shooting heavenward by saying that earthlings have been in contact with extraterrestrials from a "galactic federation."

But I'm more hopeful for the aliens, honestly.
I've always wanted aliens...like Star Trek though, not like Galaxian

I have more faith in satire than you do, and expect it will maintain it's bite. However, satire is a form of commentary and I don't give it a pass anymore than I would an op-ed. I see each as argument, and evaluate it as such.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 5:47 pmNo conclusions I can think of.Joe wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:55 pmSo what's the conclusion you reach from these three seemingly disparate statements?Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:28 pmSo what?

As for Ben Shapiro and Anderson Cooper, I pay very little attention to either of them and "media personalities" in general.

Re: US Election 2020
That's fair. I have more time for DIY vids than the election. Now that we have reached this stage, the only interesting development will be when Biden gets ill, and Harris takes over.
THAT will sure be a surprise!

Re: US Election 2020
Hmmm...is it rude to ask you for examples? I've not seen biting satire aimed at Biden or Harris, from mainstream. It's almost like they are boot-lickers...that can't be right...

We are enjoying the no satire zone. And looking forward to making fun of real people. Like Miley Cyrus. Trump is done, even for Satire. Bien almost too boring for satire.

Note that I removed my blog link. No satire needed.
