That's where we're now at in Melbourne. We only need to wear masks in shops or on public transport.

Then the way I would promote my idea, is to suggest that you take up endurance running, walking and cycling. This would allow you to avoid public transport. (not to mention cardio is a kind of vaccine against the most damaging infections)

I've run with a mask for years. It has very little effect on my exercise, aside from making it a wee bit tougher (same as a hat).

I've also seen rubes pay to get masks which propose to simulate high-altitude somehow. Hogwash. The concentration of various gasses is the same on both sides of a mask of that nature.

I don't wear one when exercising, but I don't use indoor facilities as long as the weather is cooperative.

When they say 'it's FINE, it's SAFE', I have my doubts. Their errors have all been 'not careful enough', so it costs me little to take certain extra measures. If it is discovered that I was 'too careful', I guess that's the price I'll pay.

I don't know about your 'secure location', but here, there are several planes each day headed north and south, some of them able to carry hundreds of people. Many of those aircraft able to get to diseased places and back.

You play as safe as you think you need to. What I'm getting at, is that being 'mask resistant' is useful, no matter how safe you think your town is.

Depends on what you mean by "here". If you mean Yellowknife, yeah, that's a good icehole to hide in. Even the entire Northwest Territory looks good with only 15 recorded infections and 0 recorded deaths.

If, however, you mean nation, Canada is plague central compared to Australia. Its death rate per million inhabitants is 10 times greater over the entire history of the pandemic: 358 to 35.

The authorities aren't good at getting compliance, but by identifying places they want everyone wearing masks, they provide me a list of places to avoid.

I don't mind dressing like a tranny in a habit, but masks are only for coldest winter. Or mosquito season. Or D&S play. Or sanding.

Close. There probably are real conspiracies for which evidence has yet to emerge, but until it does it's a conspiracy theory. Watergate is a conspiracy. Pizzagate may be a real conspiracy, but it remains just a conspiracy theory until sufficient evidence emerges.
