The new way of avoiding public attention?

Rudy Giuliani has coronavirus, Donald Trump says
Multiple US media reports say the lawyer is in hospital, as Arizona closes state legislature for a week in wake of his recent visit

Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, has tested positive for Covid-19, the president tweeted on Sunday, prompting Arizona to close its legislature after the lawyer visited the state last week.
"Wat is het een gezellig boel hier".

Another reminder of why it's such a good thing that the warmonger Clinton lost to Trump.

'Afghanistan’s Rising Civilian Death Toll Due to Airstrikes, 2017-2020
When the United States tightens its rules of engagement and restricts air strikes where civilians are at risk, civilian casualties tend to go down; when it loosens those restrictions, civilians are injured and killed in greater numbers. In 2017 the Pentagon relaxed its rules of engagement for airstrikes and escalated the air war in Afghanistan. The aim was to gain leverage at the bargaining table. From 2017 through 2019, civilian deaths due to U.S. and allied forces’ airstrikes in Afghanistan dramatically increased. In 2019 airstrikes killed 700 civilians – more civilians than in any other year since the beginning of the war in 2001 and 2002. After the U.S. and Taliban reached a peace agreement in late February 2020, U.S. and other international air strikes declined – and so did the harm to civilians caused by those strikes.

Conservative pundit and former Republican congressman from Florida Joe Scarborough straight up calls Trump a fascist. I guess he must have that syndrome that's been going around.

He's also right in say that the Repugs aren't so much a party now as a movement - and a movement of white ethno-nationalists at that. Trump and Trumpism isn't going away. Everyone from classic liberals to the left have got their work cut out for the next four years.

Just in case anybody was curious what Trumpist lawn order looks like as it waddles out the door...

'In Trump’s final days, a rush of federal executions'
As President Donald Trump's days in the White House wane, his administration is racing through a string of federal executions.

Five executions are scheduled before President-elect Joe Biden's 20 January inauguration - breaking with an 130-year-old precedent of pausing executions amid a presidential transition.

And if all five take place, Mr Trump will be the country's most prolific execution president in more than a century, overseeing the executions of 13 death row inmates since July of this year.
