What did you expect? Consistency? Rationality?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

What a food fight. I bet Wallace is hitting the bar now.

 I'm happy with Biden's performance. Obviously it would be possible to do much better, but he easily defeated Trump here.

I think he did best when he just smiled as Trump babbled.

I watched 10 minutes in my tea break. What a shambles. The moderator had lost control and Trump was just rambling. Biden couldn't get a word in edge ways.

Trump is a disaster. He made that very clear, again. I hope the media will recognize that and avoid calling the debate a disaster etc. It gives the impression that both candidates contributed to a problem that clearly only one of them really has.

Biden had a straightforward offense and countered effectively. I think that makes him look good. Unfortunately, for many it seems that if one guy is flailing hopelessly that's all they can see.

The debates won't hurt Trump. As he said, he could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue...

Look at his approval rating. After almost four years of fucking things up, his approval rating is almost 7 percentage points higher than after almost four years of fucking things up. It is as though an increasing number of US citizens approve of his fuck-ups. His racism, sexism, nepotism and encouragement of fascists are not fuck-ups to them. They love what he is doing, and shit like not paying taxes, riding roughshod over whatever he doesn't like makes him a strong leader. Rightwingers love strong leaders. Trump is their man, regardless of what he does.

Chooks are small. One bullet will go through the lot. You just have to line them up first.

So I caught a bit of the debate highlights on YouTube. Bit of shitshow wasn't it?

Trump supporters are lost causes. I'm just relieved Biden did well.
