Simple. If they are found to be members or sympathisers of the tea party or the KKK they don't get in.

If Antifa aren't anti fascist, what is it you think they are?
I think they are various groups, using the name 'antifa', some of whom are committed to some central ideas.

I also think that they are full of decent folks, who are at risk of being infiltrated by violent thugs, determined to soil their good name. It happens to many protest groups.

So lets pretend you are a protester. A leader of protests even.

How do you, as protest organizer, protect your protest from infiltration by looters, arsons and violent thugs?
I'd bash them up!

Didn't look exactly 'balanced', unless you wanted to hold back strong criticism.

What would Antifa's position be with regards to leaving pallets of bricks in areas later experiencing riots (with bricks being thrown) ?

Or handing out bricks to young black men in problem areas?

Both of these have been covered recently in news reports. I don't know if Antifa did these things, or would stand against them.

I do suspect that it will be easy, in our surveillance culture, to track down who staged the bricks and other riot supplies.

From the article...
"In general, anti-fascists are supportive of the protests against racist police brutality,"
Wow, how bold and unique of them...

Tell me, who exactly is speaking out in favour of racism and police brutality? The Democrat Chief of Police, Democrat Mayor, or Democrat Governor who were all kind of the bosses of the killer-cop?
Not speaking out =/= protesting.

Staging riot equipment is a rioters tactic. If someone is caught doing it, I guess they aren't 'antifa'.

Someone pointed out that the only real fascist state is China. Do a lot of antifa-folk travel to China to protest? Or do they mainly stick to places with McDonalds?

OK, cite the sources for the claim that antifa or somebody 'staged pallets of bricks' as ammunition for the protests. Nothing I've seen indicates that any construction materials used in protests, including bricks, were put into place for the convenience of protesters.

I won't bother, because I don't know which sources you trust. If you can't find them though, you are fucking bad a googling.

I didn't claim antifa did it (or didn't mean to) but they are reputed to support violence.

I asked if they would support the staging of bricks, or if they would stand opposed to it. You immediately jumped on defense.

Fucking stop it.

Back out a bit. It could be Antifa, could be cops, could be fucking Trump, but when you put a bunch of ammo where tensions are going to be that high, I think you are making deliberate mayhem of a sort that could use an investigation and some justice.

Of course, you might support rioting, vandalism and looting, but most people don't want that sort of activity in their neighbourhoods. I guess that's why there are so many folks travelling to other neighbourhoods to do protests.

Why? If you ignore the individual offenders, and follow the money, it has to lead somewhere, doesn't it?

If this is organized nation-wide, and an individual antifa member is implicated, I would still much rather see justice first served to the organizing body.

Let me ask this way, Tero - which is a worse offense - staging bricks in a 'hotspot', or grabbing a brick and throwing it amidst the protest?

It's a reasonable question. You made a claim repeatedly, and as usual with you, provided squat in support of your claim. Now you post an image from something called 'DeepClips' as if that is evidence of anything. It's not. We'll ignore the complete unreliability of your source, because in your world all sources are unreliable except for maybe your hero Tim Pool.

Maybe you've never spent much time in large cities. I have, and can tell you from personal experience, stacks of pavers or other similar building materials are a fairly common sight. You assume I haven't investigated, but that's just your usual lack of insight or understanding; I'm just a noxious, mindless NPC to you. Somebody you can tell to 'fucking stop it' as if you had the slightest clue what 'it' is.

The clips I've seen showing bricks being found and grabbed by rioters do not look like the work of civilians, nor of agents provocateurs. The materials all appear to have been placed to be used in legitimate repair or construction work by municipal workers or contractors. They have the usual warning/protective items placed, including barriers and/or orange cones.

Where I've seen significant yalping, jumping up and down and pointing is the usual fever swamps like "Free Republic", and outright disinformation sources like RT. Just the sort of place you love to find rotten squirrels that you come galumphing back here triumphantly to proudly display.

Not a single reputable source as yet. In fact, one city has gone so far as to point out that the conspiratorial nonsense has no basis. 'Cedar Rapids officials say stacks of bricks not placed by protesters'

I don't expect you to stop prowling the fruit loop net for stinking rotten squirrels, nor do I expect to stop pointing out that the squirrels are in fact stinking rotten. You are welcome to keep shouting at me to 'fucking stop it' though. That's always good for a laugh.

For the better part of the last four decades, George F. Will has been at the intellectual center of American conservatism. Now he is calling for a full-blown rout of the Republican Party at the ballot box in November.

While Will has harsh words for Trump -- "this low-rent Lear raging on his Twitter-heath has proven that the phrase malignant buffoon is not an oxymoron" -- he saves his true condemnation for the members of Congress who have enabled the President.

Nevermind, keep jumping to defense, rather than answering if you think antifa would support the staging, or oppose it.

Not whether any example was real, just asking about their philosophy. I think you have answered well enough, in your way, Animavore.

I'll have to consult the official antifa demonstration 'how to' guide, put out by antifa world headquarters (with the imprimatur of the supreme leader of antifa) for the approved antifa position on this matter. Be getting right back to you as soon as I've done that.

Oh man, it's worse than the Illuminati. No wonder Matt Gaetz says that it should be hunted down like dangerous vermin.

GOP in our crisis continues beating dead horse:
We're in the middle of the worst public health and economic crisis in a century," he said, "and what is Senator Johnson focused on? Running a political errand for Donald Trump by wasting Homeland Security Committee time and resources attempting to resurrect a craven, previously-debunked smear against Vice President Biden."

George Floyd protests: Misleading footage and conspiracy theories spread online

Protests sparked by the death in police custody of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis have spread across the US and to other countries. They've been documented in videos, images and posts on social media.

But some of these aren't what they claim to be. The BBC's anti-disinformation team has been tracking misleading videos and conspiracy theories about the protests, which have been circulating online.

So, here's what to look out for - and avoid - on your social media feeds.

'Brick' videos investigated
Rumours that the protests have been set up with potential projectiles handed out to agitators have gained traction, with thousands of posts referencing "bricks" on social media.

Several videos that show piles of bricks along with claims that they were planted by police or the government have been watched by millions of people.

Other posts pin the blame on Antifa - the left-wing group President Trump has accused of promoting the disturbances.

However, there's no evidence so far to suggest foul play, nor that the protests have been somehow pre-planned.

Most of the videos and images we've seen don't look particularly suspicious - it's not uncommon to see piles of bricks near building sites.

Responding to a video suggesting bricks had been placed to escalate protests, San Francisco police said on Twitter "pallets are affiliated with a construction site and (we) have contacted the contractor to have them removed."

Another viral video from Fayetteville, North Carolina that has racked up over a million views shows a pile of bricks in the vicinity of protests as a man says there is "no construction" site in the area.

We've been able to geolocate the video and found images from 24 May with the same pile of bricks in the same place, long before any protests took place.
