China Virus might be a racist label. (and saying that might be a CCP talking point)

Better to call it the 'Commie Cough', or 'Wu-Flu', or something more accurate...there are some who are calling it the 'socialism-starter-pack'...too wordy...won't catch on.

A Virginia bishop who defied warnings about the danger of religious gatherings during the pandemic and vowed to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital” died over the weekend after contracting Covid-19, his church said.

When did bothering about lives matter in the race for power?

You seem to think that government has supreme and absolute power over everything and everybody, and are free to act without scrutiny. That might be how things work in The Netherlands but not elsewhere. I'd suggest that those who specialise in public health and/or acute medicine are more guided by a considered, ethical approach to treating and improving people's lives than here-today-gone-tomorrow politicians might be inclined to. Does a politician decide and prescribe what treatment and care you get Scot?

Another total misinterpretation. Who scrutinises the scrutineers? Do you really think what the public is allowed to see is the truth? Dont be so naive. It is a vague reduction of the intelligence soup especially in countries like the UK, USA and Russia. I did know a genuine MI6 spy once. He told me and I believe him that the public only know 40% of what is going on in the world if they really searched. Power is primary.

The fact that governments have a tendency to accrue power at the expense of the rights of citizens is not in dispute here, although I think you underestimate the forces that tend to oppose them, at least in western democracies. What this does not do, however, is mean that the danger of the virus has been inflated for malevolent reasons (especially given that official figures almost certainly underestimate the number of cases and deaths). Whatever measures taken to reduce the spread of the virus and that impact on civil liberties must of course be scrutinised carefully, and wound back when no longer needed. That doesn't change the fact that, for rational and scientific reasons, they are needed now...

Yep they are telling everything (who is kidding who?)

No 10 faces calls to lift secrecy around Covid-19 advisory group
Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies provides PM with evidence about UK response

No 10 is facing growing calls to end the secrecy around the scientific advisory group for emergencies (Sage), which provides the prime minister with evidence about the coronavirus response and how the UK’s lockdown is working.

The group of scientists, which is meeting this week to review lockdown measures, does not disclose its membership beyond that it is chaired by Sir Patrick Vallance, the chief scientific officer, and attended by Prof Chris Whitty, chief medical officer for England.

It published a selection of key papers relating to evidence for the lockdown and physical distancing measures on 26 March – but these are at least a month out of date. No 10 said on Tuesday it was not aware of any plans by Sage to publish more papers or minutes relating to its advice.
Of course it is nothing political. The public are told everything. Please...

How does the Corona Virus get on four different us aircraft carriers?

My idea of aircraft carriers has always been that they are on the sea in the middle of an ocean for weeks or months without anyone entering or leaving the ship. Isn't that the case?

Crews are given leave during port visits, usually involving bars and brothels...

The one in Guam had port leave in Vietnam during the early stages of the pandemic...
