So the dogs collar, feces, fur and crusty old nose can not pass along the virus to you?
Sounds suspicious to me, but the dogs I have known are often indiscriminate with their social distancing.

I'm not touching dogs anyway. Until they stop having 'eureka' moments with this (the W.H.O. said 'no human to human transmission' before they had such a eureka moment) I'm going to take stronger measures than are recommended. Part of my partners lab has been repurposed to produce stuff for this crisis. Makes me proud of her, but very distrustful of viruses and their knowing and unknowing agents (virus equivalents to 'useful idiots')

When the errors cluster on one side, it starts looking like CCP control of the WHO. Did you see the video of the director being asked directly about Tiawan's approach?
He pretended not to hear the question, then cut the call. Then bluntly declined follow-up questions again.
It's pretty clear that there is something political going on there

Notice how so many, both here & in the wider world voluntarily drop to their knee, grovel, and mouth platitudes to justify their existence. Every time the gestapo stops you justify your existence. Every time the stasi interrogates you justify your existence. Every time some lowlife functionary roughs you up justify your existence. Nowadays, every time the local supermarket or office manager orders you to obey the distancing protocols or leave the store justify your existence! justify your existence at all costs, after all you're just a cog in the machine, a brick in the wall, a bottom-feeding grub, a livestock destined for slaughter, so KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN, YOU VERMIN! It isn't enough to lament our meagre existience...we must demonstrate it!

A nusing home near Omaha brought trailers for the staff that are to stay at the site for the duration. They work regular hours, then spend time at the grounds and trailer. All infected residents were removed a week ago.

Estimated deaths continue to decrease as do the number hospitalized.

"More dead in the US than anywhere!"

It's hard not to be a prick and to see the lopsided focus as the worst in us.
The USA is not the worst. On a deaths per million of its population basis it is 15th worst at 62. The global average is 14. Spain gets the silver medal with 355. San Marino wins gold with 32 deaths, making it 1032/million. Italy is in fourth place with 322 and the Netherlands in 8th with 154. Australia trails somewhat with 2/million, and New Zealand is among the real losers. It only manages 0.8.

Yes, there's a big error margin in the statistics, but approximate numbers are better than none at all.

Oh, and you can look up regularly updated statistics at https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Given the hype about our capabilities the US response is surely a contender for worst.

As if 15th worst out of ~195 is something to be proud of?

If anything has spared us from the top spot, it's probably our relatively low population density. God knows Trump doesn't deserve any credit.
