Several for our states have "closed" their borders, in the sense that anyone coming into the state by air or road from another state must self-isolate for 14 days, freight and essential services being exempt. The strong advisory is simply not to travel at all, only go out for food (alcohol is a major food group, of course) or medical reasons, go for walks with no more than one other person, lots of places simply closed, with take-away food shops an exception for the moment.

I've run hilariously (I hope) out into the fresh snow (knee-deep, varying crust) while running past people, but there are too many pinch points in the singletrack. A friend is promoting the idea that we use it clockwise on certain days, anti-clockwise on others.

I thought it a stupid idea. Then I went for a run. Now, I think it's a good idea, that would gather enthusiastic compliance.

The crosswalk button is a thing of the past for me. I've not touched one in over 2 days.

The measures taken by different countries can never be proven which are the effective ones. We in Europe live very differently to Asia. Which regime works will never be known. We are not running a double blank experiment. There is no country which has significant cases that has carried on as before. The method of recording of cases and death has no world wide agreement. Nobody is listening to the WHO. The comparison being made could also be a question of apples and pears.

The trams have gone onto a half hour service instead of the usual 3 minute rush hour service. Not many people use them anyway due to the 1,5m rule. I saw pictures of the London Underground where not many were following the 2m rule.
