In review, The Rebel routinely publishes news with loaded emotional wording that favors the right, such as this: "Why Trudeau’s Liberals are pretending THIS gun control study doesn’t exist" and this "Cops bundle up angry left wing student in taped meltdown". Both of these stories are linked to strongly right leaning sources such as Campus Reform. In general, most stories the favor the right and denigrate the left. Further, The Rebel has been accused of stirring up anti-Muslim hate according to the right leaning, The National. Some writers for The Rebel have also been profiled by the left leaning Southern Poverty Law Center for promoting hate.
When it comes to sourcing, The Rebel does hyperlink to outside sources, but many times they attempt to source within their domain to increase web traffic.
Overall, we rate The Rebel Right Biased based on story selection that always favors the right and Mixed for factual reporting due to poor sourcing techniques and consistent one sided reporting.

Cunt reads RWNJ media? Must be a mishtake, surely? He's left wing.

I used to enjoy eating in Supermac's but then they started selling Papa John pizzas and I can't support anyone who supports Trump so they're on the sizable boycott list.
It's a shame. They're nicer than most of the American fast food restaurants.

Thanks for letting me know it is 'right leaning' and that 'left leaning' sources don't rate it 'charming'.Cunt wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 7:13 pm...I was recently drawn to Rebel News, because of some (probably over-dramatised) confrontations between them and government....
Don't get me wrong - they are as 'right-biased' as could be, but it makes a bit of a nice contrast. Lots of the media joins in condemning the oil sector, for example, but Rebel has me wondering if stopping Canadian oil production is altruistic and 'green', or if foreign interests might be encouraging (maybe even sponsoring) the interference.
Since it is so tough to get most lefties to even identify their 'left-radical-fringe', I'm not sure what I'm supposed to take from this though.

You asked about news rating services, and I linked to one, giving a pertinent example of their style of analysis. Just no winning with you.

Is Judicial Watch a place to see media bias?
It sounds an awful lot like they just got a US District Court Judge to grant their request to depose a former SecState (Clinton) about her emails & Benghazi.

Re: Media Bias
Was the Coors shooter dropped quickly from the news cycle because of media bias? Is it a bad time for a gun-control narrative?

Re: Media Bias
Was he dropped from the news cycle at all? I just typed "anthony ferrill" into Google's search box and set Google to show results published in the past 24 hours only. It came back, clutching 50 of them. Publishers included New York Times, USA Today, ABC News, Chicago Tribune, NPR, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ...
Why should it be?

Re: Media Bias
A lot of them are not questions despite the fact that they end with a question mark. Example from our member from Yellowknife's above post:pErvinalia wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 3:33 amDoes Cunt ask a series of random questions in all his posts?
It makes the positive statement, the Coors shooter was dropped quickly from the news cycle, followed by a spot of well poisoning, because of media bias. The question mark is a tactical device aimed at making it difficult for people to tell Daggles that he is spreading bullshit yet again, for he'll point out that he did not write "the Coors shooter dropped quickly from the news cycle" nor did he say the story was quickly dropped "because of media bias". He merely "asked" a question. Read all about it in Dishonest Rhetoric 101.
Similarly, his next question,
is a poorly disguised statement. An honest debater would have written something like this: "The Coors shooter dropped quickly from the news cycle because of media bias. The bias is in favour of gun control. The shooting does not fit arguments in favour of gun control." Or words to that effect. You need to have a bit of courage to say exactly what you think and have your opinions shot down in flames when they turned out to be wrong. Not everybody has it.

Re: Media Bias
I'll say that the suggestion that made me ask, is that some shootings are ignored in favour of others, to pump up gun sales via public fear of more gun laws.
There does seem to be themes about gun violence, that show off certain stories, while ignoring overall shootings in Chicago over an average weekend.
It would look racist, if the word meant anything.
