Of course, you couldn't have imagined that, in this 'Trumps Greatest Achievements' thread, I was referring to Trump-republicans.

Perhaps you shouldn't have asked me about republicans in my circles. There are no "Trump-republicans" in Australia. Not even Australians who support Trump's policies can be labelled as such. At least not the ones I know of. The appropriate labels for them are alt-right, racist, fascist, misogynist fucks.

See, I don't mind saying what I think his greatest achievements are.

Among them, showing how hilariously biased even the smartest people can be.

I don't need Trump to recognise my bias, and I dare say neither does Seabass, JimC or anyone else who posts in this forum. Whether our bias is hilarious is another matter. Either way, not Trump's achievement.

Same goes for the biases of the main stream media. Everybody is aware of them without the need for Trump to point them out. People even make charts, graphs and tables on that issue.



I do concede that too many people regard "centre" or "balanced" media publications as unbiased, but Trump has never argued that there is no such thing. He just keeps shouting that the main stream media are biased against him and spreaders of fake news. That is alarmingly similar to references to the Lügenpresse (lying media) in Germany during the 1930s.

You probably meant Amy Robach, and yes, I know what became of the video recording of her frustration about ABC news not broadcasting the information she had unearthed about Epstein. I know that ABC news refused to air it because they alleged it was not up to their required standards. It's something Amy Robach agreed with. I also know that the producer of the recording, Ashley Bianco, left ABC news and took up a position with CBS news, from which she was fired four days later because someone at ABC news told someone at CBS news that Bianco had leaked that recording to Project Veritas.

For the record, I regard it as very likely that ABC news tried to suppress Robach's story for fear of losing access to influential people in high places. Also, that people working in Buckingham Palace made all sorts of threats to the same effect. ABC news stood to lose a truckload of potentially profitable sources. Capitalism can be quite venal, eh? For what it's worth, I regard it as highly likely that Epstein died by being murdered rather than by committing suicide.

Weinstein (the maths guy, not hollywood producer) said when he met Epstein, he seemed to not know anything about his claimed profession. That's sketchy, conspiracy theory stuff, right?

Now, why hasn't someone found out where his income originated? Isn't that the digging that the media generally does? Why was his bank active after his death (if that story was true)

It certainly has a whiff of murder about it. But consider how many people would need to be holding the secret. It's hard to imagine that the group of people who would know he was murdered would not leak (whether on purpose or accident) info about it.

Daggles, I hope you'll understand why I did not bother checking the background of the rest of the CEO resignations in your list. You obviously got it from either some batshit crazy site specialising in spreading nutbaggish conspiracy theories, or a site from right wing sources which found this "information" useful for its agenda. And you accepted this crap without checking any of it. If you possessed as much as a shred of scepticism it was well and truly out of action.

I found evidence that two of the people on your list who have stepped down as CEOs have stepped up to become chairmen of the same company, and one will step down in April for being a disaster to the company he is chairman of. Do you have any evidence that this is not so?

I've been thinking about this for a while, and decided that one promise the incumbent President has kept was to drain the swamp. Wait. WAIT! Hear me out. He really did that, provided we define "swamps" as places criminals are incarcerated in. Trump has done a stellar job in that regard. "But, but Obama." I hear you say. "He has pardoned and commuted the sentences of 1,937 individuals. How does that compare to Trump's miserly couple of hundred or even fewer pardons and commutations?"

The answer is simple: Never mind the quantity. Check the quality! The beneficiaries of Bammy's largesse were almost exclusively smallfry. People who were jailed for getting caught smoking a spliff, selling a lid, stuff like that. Trump went for the heavy duty crims. Murderers, big-time financial fraudsters and shit. He has made a bigger difference draining that swamp in barely more than three years than Obama managed in eight. And he's not finished with it yet.
