It's the spit droplets that carry the virus to the next person. If the virus is dried off by the water evaporating (warm day), the virus is unlikely to land anywhere. UV light also kills viruses.

My region is considered 'semi-arid', and even the moisture that is present, is hard enough to fall to the ground for much of the year.

So I'll (as planned) stay away from indoor public places as much as possible. I guess that means it's outdoors again for my run today. :)
