Re: US Election 2020
Yeah, it's unbelievably dumb. I hate how everyone is assuring us it wasn't an attack, like we're supposed to be confident they know what they're talking about.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?
The Silver State. 1894.

It's one of those never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity type of things.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Re: US Election 2020

This piece is not too kind to the developers: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/04/us/p ... w-app.html
I think calling it a failure of the Democrats to match Republican use of technology is stupid and probably just a means of selling their story i.e. hook it into something more important. They're talking about Republican use of technology to campaign vs an app to get election results; two totally different fields I'd think...

Re: US Election 2020
My son in law is a libertarian. He showed some mild interest in democratic candidates who promised to pull out of military conflicts. On healthcare he is undecided. My daughter is on his plan. She has a lesser plan thru her employer if he should lose his job.
I think he could come around to tolarate Sanders.

He is not a racist so that part of Trump bothered him a bit.

Michigan Democrat only made one good point in rebuttal to Trump:
And she observed, accurately, that despite the squabbling in the Democratic presidential primary, all the candidates’ health plans are directionally the same — offering Americans better, more robustly subsidized coverage — while Trump is suing to eliminate the Affordable Care Act.

A libertarian who would be OK with Bernie?
That's a strange one.

Not as strange as a libertarian who's ok with Trump, who is the most authoritarian president we've ever had.

Re: US Election 2020
He would be OK as far as "business as usual." Liberals ruled in his formative years so it was like me, more or less, under Reagan. I hated him, but not every single day as with Trump.
