"If there is a political price to be paid by Democrats for taking on Trump, Republicans were determined to exact it. But in the process, they revealed themselves to be prisoners of a wounded, erratic leader known for demanding loyalty but not famous for repaying it."

I don't want to strip evangelicals of their rights.

They will be very, very comfortable in the atheist re-education camps... :Jack:

There's an entire value system there built on fear and personal insecurity in order to justify the kind of authoritarian control and violence they say they're being subjected to. These people have no power over themselves or their lives - they've outsourced it to the votaries of a magic sky daddy. They need our sympathy and support, not our ridicule.

I'm all out of sympathy and support. Ridicule is all I have left. :sigh:

How deep can the divisions in a nation be for it to survive?

I don't know what bothers me more about that, the fact that they want to force women to have unwanted babies just because they did not use antiiconception means, or the fact that Western countries do need all the babies they can because we don't have the demographics to sustain our lifestyle and need all the kids we can make, even if it means fucking over silly girls.

We should just sell them. The pregnancies. Every Christian group that wants to stop an abortion would be able to buy volunteers for 100 000 plus hospital bill. They would then get that baby to pass on to any adoption agency they want.

No $$ and fetus is aborted.
