Four girls under the age of 16 arrested in Sydney for "disobeying reasonable direction". First grannies, now this - when will these eco-terrorists learn(?)

That's true - but they're just people too and their kids are being thrown under the bus along with everybody else's.
The trouble is, while the state is requiring them to use heavy handed techniques to disrupt peaceful protests, until they take off their badges there will be confrontation with them, so focusing on keeping it peaceful and de-escalation is vital.

That's certainly how Melbourne XR operates, unlike the crazed radicals to our north... :tea:

Actually, I just heard that 10 protestors were arrested trying to block a major intersection in Melbourne later in the evening. One day, I might join them...

And 275 were arrested in London!

I know Brian was heading down there - maybe he was one of them?

I might be up for getting arrested. Not sure how it affects any future employment prospects, though. A year or two ago I thought I'd never be employed again, so wouldn't have anything to lose. But these damn tablets seem to be having a positive effect, and I feel like I might be able to be employed at some point. Whether there are any jobs, though, is another matter.

I'm in non-arrestable roles, but you never know eh?

For anyone considering taking arrestable action, and anyone who just wants to contribute to protecting the environment, part of the campaign to make ecocide an international crime involves contributing to a trust for which you will get a legal document which can be used in court as evidence for your motivations. See more here: https://www.stopecocide.earth/conscientious-protectors

Yeah, it's that kind of positivity and hope we're really trying to harness. :tea:

There are some pretty odd characters in the group, I must admit. At least I know that I'm perfectly normal... :tea:

Another day, another rebellion...

Went in today, and joined with young uni students to swarm through the CBD in small groups, with one member in each group knowing the next move, arriving at intersections unpredictably, blocking them for 10 minutes then independently swarming to the next target. No arrests, the police had no idea where we were going next...

Lots of chanting, my voice is a bit croaky...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!
