I really think the problem isn't that he is incompetent, it's that everyone is claiming that the other options are NOT incompetent. Who has done a good job? Obama (Deporter in Chief/drone bomber/race-divider) or May (major-political-loser)?

I think this is Trump's and Boris's appeal. Their boorish nature is EXACTLY what everyone wants to see. We want to see someone else do it though, because the cost of saying the wrong thing is so high.
