I don't know who your 'miller' is, but every time the Dems sound off on the issue, they are on the side of open borders. Campaigning in Mexico wouldn't surprise me, of the current crop of Dems.
But as to 'far-right', that's common to say about various groups, but few who use the term can identify who they think of as 'near right'.
