No. I accept that a N. Korea without nuclear weapons is better than the alternative, and while I'd happily acknowledge that, in the case of this hypothetical, the US's policy on NK would have been successful in achieving that specific goal the fact remains that Trump is a fucking piece of shit with a fucking piece of shit's attitudes and objectives. The administration may make the World a slightly less dangerous place in this one regard but its actions elsewhere -- around the globe and at home -- more than make up for that megre benefit, for example: emboldening Israel's expansionist military ambitions with respect to Palestinian land, picking fights with Iran after reneging on an agreed and binding treaty, destroying long-standing international diplomatic efforts to secure broader global peace and stability, siding with Vlad the Poisoner against the interests of his own people and wilfully ignoring all advice from the US's security organisations regarding the Kraken of the Kremlim, preferencing corporate greed and profiteering over the environment regardless of the evidence, separating the children of immigrants, asylum-seekers and refuges from their families and locking them in cages to rot, facilitating the religious imposition of state enforced pregnancy in the US, offering succour and support to the wannabe fascist bully-boys of the US alt-right and white supremacist movement, undermining press freedom, judicial due process and other democratic norms... the list goes on... and on...Rum wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 10:31 amHere’s a question - if a slightly hypothetical one. Nothing will happen to weapons. They have not been inspected on site for years.
Just continue the dates and chats with Trump, says Kim. Only two years left.

Biden not polling that well. Must not let Trump near 45% by election day. 40% we can deal with.

Bloomberg:
The president has repeatedly insisted that China bears the cost of the tariffs he’s imposed on its exports to the U.S., rejecting the consensus of economists that the taxes are paid by American companies and consumers in the form of higher prices.
“China has devalued their currency in order to pay for the tariffs,” he said. The yuan has declined against the dollar in the last year, helping offset some of the impact of Trump’s tariffs, but Chinese officials have said the devaluation is the result of market forces.

These are all popular votes which mean bugger all. It is the EC that matters and Trump has paid for that so why bother. Clinton won the popular vote with a vast majority. Do you think Trump is worried about that. He will put a bit of window dressing but he has the EC sown up.

Health issues should be hammered daily into voters. Trump has done ZIP about drug prices. Not even for Medicare, which he cut again. Get your GOVERNMENT hands off my Medicare, Trump!

Saudi Arabia - refusing to samction vetoing a bipartisan bill to do so.
Yemen - suffering from the worst genocide happening right now due to Saudi Arabia with tacit support from the US.
Palestine - due to suffer more now Israel have full US support.
Puerto Rico - still no aid.
Concentration camps at the border.
Disastrous environmental policies which will, down the road, lead to more refugees from people in hot countries.
Stripping humanitarian funding from poor countries which will only help increase the systems that keep people in poverty.
An increase in right-wing terrorism. Some of them directly attributing Trump as a figure of renewed hope in white identity in their manifestos.
And on and on and on...
Why is this even a question? The answer is No. And I'm disappointed this has even been contemplated.
Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.
