I still get shocked now and then by the realisation that this isn't a reality TV show, but is actually Trump as President of the most powerful nation on earth. How the fuck did this happen?

It never worked the way they envisioned, and was changed by the 12th Amendment, the States, and the political parties over the next 35 or so years into what we have today. They just didn't anticipate the national political parties that hijacked the process.

Fucking Trump is on the tele meeting Lil' Kim, and he tells him he's a great guy. FFS, he's a fucking brutal dictator. I bet Trump wishes he had the power of a dictator.

Lil' Kim is a dictator who can act without restraint and wield the literal power of life and death over millions of people. Of course Trump thinks he's a great guy, because that kind of power is something Trump admires. Trump also gets to talk about how great the border between N and S Korea is, and how the US should do that on it's Southern border with Mexico.

Here’s a question - if a slightly hypothetical one. If Trump pulls it off (no not that - denuclearisation of NK) would that in your view make his presidency a success despite his utterly shambolic approach to his agenda.
