In that speech Trump thinks "Japanese" cars are made in Japan.
Honda:
According to Honda, “94 percent of Honda and Acura vehicles sold in the U.S. in 2013 were manufactured in North America, the highest percentage of any international automaker.” On top of that, 70 percent of the Honda Accord's content is sourced from the U.S. and Canada. Fifteen percent is sourced from Japan.Feb 19, 2015

I don't think facts really penetrate Trump's thinking or the thinking of his supporters. They don't depend on what is true, only what he thinks they might believe to be true. "Japanese cars are from Japan," is so much easier to get annoyed at than having the intricacies of supply and manufacturing explained. What Trump an his ilk are really concerned with is not "Japanese cars coming into the country," but US dollars going out of the country. It doesn't matter that these things might be good for jobs and the economy, they just want to get their hands on the loot, and therefore THE OUTRAGE!!

He has some clue.

but where he has the most success is in declaring that "free trade," no tax either way, is somehow unfair to the US.

Yea, because he's Trump. He knows he's lucky not clever and presumes everyone else is taking advantage of him because that is exactly what he would do. He's just applying that thinking to the country because in his own mind, and the minds of voters, he is the country.

Perfectly logical, and we also know that America (=Trump) gets blow jobs from teenage prostitutes.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Death committees? Forcing Veterans to take an unknown drug?

The controversial ketamine-like drug that Trump is pushing on veterans
The president has touted the drug’s benefits and offered to help a senior Veterans Affairs official negotiate the purchase of the drug

Personal interest from Donald Trump appears to have put a controversial anti-depressant on a fast track at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that shoved aside usual protocols, even though experts inside and outside the government have serious concerns the drug is effective and say it may be dangerous.

Sources inside the Department of Veterans Affairs say staffers were essentially told by a senior official to drop everything in March and accelerate the drug’s availability because the president had expressed enthusiasm for the drug, Spravato, as a possible treatment for depressed veterans.

Questions have also been raised about a trio of Trump friends who have been working on veterans issues and interacting with Johnson & Johnson regarding programs for troubled vets.

In the midst of a rapidly convened series of VA meetings early that month, another official said the president wanted the VA to buy “truckloads” of the drug, according to sources. Trump also touted the drug’s benefits to Veterans Affairs secretary Robert Wilkie in a White House meeting just last week, offering to help negotiate the VA’s purchase of the drug, according to Bloomberg.

A key VA panel, the so-called formulary committee, is meeting this week to decide if Spravato, whose formal name is esketamine, will be added to the list of drugs that must be available to VA pharmacies. A vote is expected Wednesday, though a final decision may take longer. Esketamine is a derivative of ketamine, which has been used to treat depression, and has been abused as a party drug.

How is this drug linked to Trump? He wouldn't push it unless he could see a personal profit in it, and never mind the side effects to the patients.

I guess what Mueller reported is starting to sink in, even in the Fox News poll.

I remember how adamantly 42 denied this, even when we pointed out where Mueller specifically documented it.
