Gove catches a Cold

Post by rainbow » Mon Jun 10, 2019 7:19 am

‘It was a mistake. I look back and I think, I wish I hadn’t done that’
Michael Gove on his cocaine admission
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... nd-turkeys

With increasing talk of a consensus around loosening drug laws, Gove’s admission may not be the devastating slip that it might once have been. Yet in a race decided by Tory members, he may have contrived to disgust the few people left in the country who may actually still care.

Cocaine is God's way of telling you you're earning too much. Thatcher changed the law to put Boy George in prison for past possession so I think it's only fair that Gove should get sentenced to a stretch in Belmarsh.

Gove’s blown it now. The membership of the Conservative party is mostly over 65, middle class and ..er...very conservative.

If he stood a chance - not sure he did - he’s thrown it away now.

There are more than a few rumours about Johnson doing the same thing around the same time. The difference is he hasn't admitted it, at least not in a coherent sentence that anyone noticed.

Gove does have the ‘advantage’ of utter bullshit hypocrisy. When working as an education minister he proclaimed that teachers caught using drugs should never be allowed to teach again.,

Perhaps that doesn’t apply to being in charge of the nuclear codes.

However it has to be said in terms of competence he is probably a better option that Bojo any day.

Fuck no. I'd rather have an incompetent chancer than a committed ideologue hell bent on proving he's better than the chaps who fagged him at university.

Ah come on, you know you secretly want The Boris, particularly post-Brexit when you're our 51st state. Maybe we can change the Constitution so he can run with The Donald. DoBo in 2020! Fuck it, might as well have a few larfs as we're flushed down the shitter.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
