Put tariffs on Mexican imports at 15%. Domestic producers raise prices to get to a little less than that. Consumers pay more for the products they need. Producers and importers make more profit. QED.

Goodbye NHS:

Trump wavers after saying NHS must be on table in US-UK trade talks
US president says he refused to meet Corbyn, who vows to fight any grab at health services

Donald Trump has declared he wants the NHS to be on the table in any US-UK trade deal and refused to meet the “negative” Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who pledged to oppose US corporations taking over the health service with every breath in his body.

On the second day of his state visit, during which he has been hosted by the Queen and Theresa May, the US president set out his ambitions for a “phenomenal” post-Brexit trade deal with the UK.

But following a cross-party backlash, the president later appeared to row back on his comments. In an interview with Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan, he said: “I don’t see [the NHS] being on the table. Somebody asked me a question today and I say everything is up for negotiation, because everything is. But that’s something I would not see as part of trade. That’s not trade.”

Here are the great crowds of supporters he saw and once again Trump's eyesight is brought into doubt.

Almost no one showed up to see the Trump family arrive at Buckingham Palace
Donald Trump loves a little bit of pomp and circumstance and there are few places better in the world to do that than London.

The president probably envisioned the start of his UK state to be greeted with thousands of adoring fans as his motorcade travelled down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.

Unfortunately for Donald, that wasn't the case, as we can now estimate that tens of his loyal supporters turned out to wave at him and give the Trumps a warm welcome to the UK.
