Mondeo man is still very much in use to describe a certain type of person. A salesman here will be driving a hybrid or electric car and definitely not a SUV.

You dont get around much do you? Mind you not many roads where you live. More a backwater; obvious in your mentality.

And, yet Dutch education remains the greatest in the world. Just goes to show how far ahead of the curve they were 20 years ago! :leave:

heck, it"s even a French problem, and I'd not be surprised if Merkins had it too.
Oh, much worse here in Merka, of course, as in all things.

....and that was back in the 1980s! Think how bad it is now, in the current year!

Thanks to Republicans, our kids are just doing "active shooter drills" and getting shot to death.

Some of those kids were older than the one's at Danny and Sandra Dee's high school.

They all looked older back in the day.

Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Scot, this post: http://www.rationalia.com/forum/viewtop ... 6#p1828106

So his "And by the way, fuck you. " does not count. :thinks:

Scot, it was your final sentence that was the PA. While we don't really like seeing lots of "fuck you", by itself it has traditionally been tolerated...

Dont need cars so why would I look? I can live very easily without them as opposed to the lovely organised country you live in. I can go anywhere in Europe at a drop of a hat and do.
Mondeo man is a well known term here and there is nothing positive about it. It is the car of salesmen.
I was only born in the UK and lived there for the first 17 years of my life so stop going on as if I owe it anything. I am not emotional at all about it so where the fuck do you get that idea?
The ‘Mondeo man’ stereotype used to be as you describe it here too- many years ago. As I say, you are out of touch. The ‘salesmen’ you refer to are more likely to drive an SUV these days. Still you love your stereotypes and your mindsets. Makes the world a simpler place to deal with maybe.

I’ve rarely seen more cars and busier roads than in the Netherlands.

As to your emotional ranting - well your words speak for themselves.
