I think that's referring to actual liberals.

https://mavenroundtable.io/theintellect ... Q17ilrFvg/The Internet has created breeding grounds for the spread of white extremist ideology and violent tactics.
Before his attack at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, the alleged gunman posted a manifesto online saying he was inspired by white extremist terrorism in the United States, Italy, Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom. His references to other extremist attacks put him in an unofficial network of white terrorists around the world whose violence is becoming increasingly frequent in the Western world.
On Wednesday,The New York Times released an analysis of recent terrorism attacks and concluded that at least 33 percent of white extremist murderers over the past eight years received inspiration from others who had performed similar attacks. The killers expressed either reverence for one another or an interest in each other's tactics. Their connections span across continents and oceans, highlighting the extent to which social media and the Internet have served as breeding grounds for spreading racist, extremist ideology.
Real problems. Not just an old, white crank losing his shit because he gets called out on his bullshit.

A lot of crime is committed for a lot of reason, and not all of them are what they appear to be. "A member of a black church in Mississippi has pleaded guilty to burning the church, which was also spray painted with the slogan "Vote Trump," a week before the 2016 presidential election." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/mi ... ar-BBVmPov - mayhap it is, mayhap it ain't, but perhap we wait and see what the investigation reveals.

This, of course, is not representative of American society - it's "news" for a reason. Same with real racist/bigoted crimes. These are newsworthy events - uncommon - repugnant to most people, the vast majority of people.

The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

Re: Yet more problematic stuff
If we call the Christchurch killer a 'white extremists', what do we call people of colour who do it? 'Coloured Extremists' sounds racist somehow...

https://rewirenews.link/2Iq9iRb?fbclid= ... xqUU-CdWZIIt’s not easy to draw a straight line from a policymaker to a hate group when that policymaker is adept at speaking in dog whistles, at using parsed phrases that sound fine to most but serve as a carefully crafted wink of the eye to radicals who speak the language.
Connecting those dots—being able to say that a lawmaker or high-ranking official is espousing the rhetoric of a hate group—is often impossible. One can analyze it all they want, but short attention spans and lack of familiarity with hate group ideology often prove insurmountable in making the connection.
But it’s not hard with Stephen Miller, the 32-year-old senior White House adviser who engineered the Trump administration’s Muslim ban and has used his platform to inject radical white ethno-nationalism into the country’s immigration debate. Recognizing Miller’s echoing of white supremacist talking points and phrasing is more important than ever, now that a White House aide considered a Miller protégé was just appointed to a key State Department post overseeing refugee admissions.

Unproblematic stuff.
More Nazis denied a place in decent society. Pity the White House doesn't have the same non-discrimination policy.Airbnb has banned some people planning to attend an upcoming white nationalist conference at a Tennessee state park from using its online booking platform.
The popular vacation rental company confirmed its decision Monday to ban users tied to the annual American Renaissance Conference at the Montgomery Bell State Park Inn & Conference Center.
Airbnb cited its nondiscrimination policy and the “Community Commitment” to which all users must adhere. That includes treating everyone with respect and without judgment or bias, regardless of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age, according to the company.
American Renaissance is designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The magazine-turned-blog “openly peddles white nationalism,” according to the nonprofit legal advocacy organization.
“Actions based in racism and hatred associated with neo-Nazis, the alt-right, and white supremacists have no place in the Airbnb community. When we see people on the platform pursuing behavior that would be antithetical to our Community Commitment, we take appropriate action,” Airbnb wrote in a statement to The Tennessean.
