Seriously, what the fuck is the point of an independent special counsel if the results of the investigation end up getting filtered through the hands of a partisan appointee who was appointed by one of the primary subjects of the investigation, who has a history of helping fellow Republicans escape justice (Iran-Contra), and who wrote a memo in which he argued that the Mueller probe was ill-conceived and that a sitting president, simply by virtue of the office that he holds, is incapable of obstructing justice.
This whole thing stinks to high heaven. It even stinks on ice. What a ridiculous goddamn farce.
I guess I'm not surprised that the first reading of the report would be fuel for a positive spin. I really can't blame the administration for wanting a win.
My hope is every part of the report that can be safely released to the public is, and we can make up our own minds about it. Right now, we have too little to draw any conclusions other than what Barr provided, which are very narrowly stated, through spun very broadly. Maybe the details will bear out the broad conclusions, but I'll wait to see it.
I really hope we can get a good picture of Mueller's counterintelligence investigation. That report hasn't been released, but the Intelligence Committee heads are supposed to be briefed on it in the next month or so.

I doubt it. Mueller's team was pretty disciplined. Not a single leak from them for two years. That report will pass through other hands though. Hopefully the one that's released will be complete enough so that no one feels the need to leak...

well, I had the same problem, I swore off voting socialist, when I realized they actually were a right wing party in sheep's clothing... I can't vote for actual rightwing crazymorons, the far left wing are as crazy and unelectable in my eyes, so I can't vote for them either... I have to find barely credible fringe parties with an interesting platform, and when there is none, I just have to vote blank or null, not fun... I'm thinking seriously of rejoining the abstainer party. ... except that doing so is renouncing what little say I have and just tacitly accepting what the morons vote for.
