Everything in politics has been over-dramatized lately. THAT is my main claim.

The divide is getting sharper, and more difficult to cross. I guess another way to say it is that respect for the other side is at an all-time low.
US politics certainly seems more polarised than any time in the past...
Not just them - I accuse YOU.

And you are definitely better equipped to start making this 'bridge' than I am. There is a benefit to a style which is more friendly and less jarring.

So I challenge you to take the opposite position on some things. Try it out, and see if you can learn to bridge the gap.

Fuck knows I can't.

Why is there almost always a time delay with Cunt and 42's postings?

Why is there always an incessant yapping by Mr Negative after every post by Cunt or 42?

Hey, one liners are good. The equivalent of ”you’re breathing my air” when two siblings sit in the back seat of a car.”

Putting the drama aside, do you think it is wise, helpful, necessary or good etc for the executive to circumvent the constitutional duties and responsibilities of the legislature in order to control funding for personal political projects?

It takes Briebart and Infowats etc al a day or two to coordinate, formulate and disseminate their response across the right-wing outlets. It was better when that cryin' lyin' dog Bannon was in the White House - he'd just phone them up and tell them the spin for the day was. Now the president is taking them by surprise three times a week, just like the rest of us.

Phrased that way, no.

Should he have done what he did? Well, I think so, and mainly it's because everyone voted for border security, funded walls in other countries, and only when it was Trump doing it, dug their heels in and shut the country down over a small budget item.

It's political theatre all out of scale with the money involved. I'm convinced that THIS kerfuffle is a distraction from whatever really IS nefarious.

Most who oppose border security, have a strong border around their homes, enforced by armed men and women. You yourself have armed men and women protecting the border of your home from anyone you decide to keep out.

It's NORMAL to want to know which people are coming in, especially with the traffic coming in via Ecuador and the Darien Gap.

Indeed. So the national emergency is about funding not security.

It's about security, but wouldn't be an issue if the Dems didn't stand in the way.

See, there is crime, and crime caused by illegal immigrants.

Guess which one can be (theoretically) stopped by stopping illegal immigration? Go on, I'll give you a few minutes to work it out.

If walls stop crime they should build one round Wall Street. The clue is in the name I guess.

Trump had a Republican Congress for two years, and failed to get his vanity wall funded. Suddenly, partisan nitwits are jumping up and down and shouting it's all the 'Dems' fault. Can't be that the great deal maker is an incompetent, oh no, it's those nasty 'Dems'.
