Leave it to CNN to focus on the really important news.
The "intel chiefs" work for the President, yes? Not vice versa? We have a civilian leader who leads over the military and the intelligence departments for what reason(s)?

It isn't, not for a crime of misrepresentations to the FBI.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:36 pmWhat do you mean it's not normal or common place to be arrested in this way? It is normal and commonplace. Do you mean that it usually doesn't happen to guys like Stone? Is that really all you mean? That sounds bad to me. In that case can you to tell me why Stone and guys like him deserve special treatment, and maybe why his not getting that treatment has so upset you.
What I mean it does not usually happen for CRIMES LIKE THIS, not "guys like Stone." IT would be customary to let him surrender. He was no flight risk, and has been under investigation for two years and already subjected to multiple search warrants. This was a "you pissed me off, so this is what you get" move, and a "let this be a lesson to anyone else around Trump..." thing. Give me something on Trump, or we'll perp walk you and fuck you up. It's not good.

In other words he got treated like a criminal. -good. I see no reason why lying to the feds, have you read the indictment, shouldn't result in him being treated like this.
Regular folk are routinely taken out of cars and homes at gunpoint for non-violent crimes that have nothing to do with national security. That you think this guy should be treated with kid gloves, and further that failing to do so is indicative of a corruption, is absurd.

I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.

Well it’s not trivial if your boss is an asshole to you on a daily basis. Poor leadership.

Probably true, but irrelevant to the point I was making.JimC wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 9:31 amFactual information about the relative CO2 contribution made by various human activities has nothing to do with "media-pushed hype and left-wing prejudice". It has everything to do with providing an objective background when analysing the causes and effects of global warming.Cunt wrote:
I haven't studied whichever evidence your media-pushed hype and left-wing prejudice has required of you, but trust me, it isn't important to the point I was making.
Having no experience around large power plants, my closest experience was around air travel, and their use of carbon.
But my expressing my limited understanding was somehow a trigger to you, and you have to attack me for being uninformed.
You are one classy old white guy.
It IS clearly beyond me, and knowing lots of government officials who are dumber still, I think it's a shit idea to believe them. Especially when believing them gives them more money, more power and more of an appearance of the moral high ground.
And I certainly don't trust any personal anecdotes of yours as contributing anything meaningful to a discussion which is clearly beyond you.
Fuck carbon religionists. Arrogant fucking twaddle sold as gospel.

Are you still relying on circumstantial evidence to support your assertions about the "collusion" between CNN and the FBI, or has some hard evidence surfaced?Forty Two wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 3:33 pmAny thinking person's eyebrow, at least, should be raised by the dog-and-pony-show put on by the FBI in arresting Stone. He didn't own a gun. He was accused of not telling the truth. He was arrested in a SWAT raid, and frog marched barefoot into the street, and his wife was taken out of their house and left to stand in the street in her nightgown. The FBI had closed off the street to Stone's house to all traffic, but somehow CNN "had a hunch" that the FBI was going to conduct this raid at 5am that morning, and happened to sneak through the FBI's cordoned off zone and be right there to film the "dangerous suspect" being marched out of his house.
Pull the other one.

More evidence than there is for Russian collusion in the Trump campaign.

That's saying something that they caught them using a truck. Tunnels under the wall are common in Nogales.

I don't listen to Trump. I have to read him as looking and listening to him makes me physically sick. Even reading him is bad enough. I wish they'd write him in proper English instead of verbatim with a lot of sic.
