Will Adam Schiff pose a bigger threat to Trump than Robert Mueller?
New chairman of the House intelligence committee leads pack of antagonists as he plans to investigate the details of Trump’s businesses, his lenders, and his partners in the US and abroad

One of the first matters he plans to investigate, Schiff told NBC last month, is the Trump Organization’s relationship with Deutsche Bank, for a time reportedly Trump’s exclusive lender, which was fined $700m in 2017 for allowing money laundering.

“The concern about Deutsche Bank is that they have a history of laundering Russian money,” Schiff said. “And this, apparently, was the one bank that was willing to do business with the Trump Organization. If this is a form of compromise, it needs to be exposed.”

Yeah, but Obama was brown, so it doesn't count

How dumb are they?
CNN
The most amazing trick Trump has pulled as a politician -- and now as president -- is to convince lower-middle class, predominantly white voters that he is one of them.
..snip...

What's remarkable about all of that is that people cheered wildly after Trump said it. Trump may have more money and "better houses" and "nicer" boats than the people he is calling elites. But the average person in the crowd in North Dakota has neither multiple houses nor a boat. They know that Trump does have these things -- he talks about them incessantly -- and yet, somehow, they believe him to be one of them.

Look like many right wingers he compares poverty in America to third world countries. Of course no comparison.

Yeah, it's like when left-whingers complain about 'the 1%', then get pissy when it is pointed out that they ARE the 1%

Right, when compared to most countries in the world, there isn't much poverty to speak of in the US. That's true of some other countries in the world.

I think this is a recurring mistake made by those trying to puzzle out the appeal Trump has for some folks. It's not about Trump having convinced people he's "one of them." Everyone knows Trump is a rich guy, who had money all his life. Nobody thinks Trump is a blue collar guy and therefore one of the "identity group" to which his voters belong. People who voted for Trump voted for him because of their opposition to that kind of thought process. They voted for Trump because they wanted a businessman who would not apologize for doing what's best for the US, and by extension what's best for US business and industry. Everyone who is not a business owner works for businesses. So, they like it when there are lots of successful businesses, and lots of opportunities.

No. They believe he will do the best job, and had the competence and the balls to do it. And, they were sick of things other than the best interest of the US and economic concerns in general being given priority over the US and economic concerns. They don't want "progressive" issues like bathrooms and whether some baker has to bake a cake he doesn't approve of taking precedence over economics, and they don't want to have fingers wagged at them by self-righteous "progressives" who criticize and denigrate ever aspect of those people's lives and cultures.

What do you expect? Progressive dickwads rail against and insult every aspect of their lives: Their religion, their customs, their opinions, their guns, their, lifestyles - everything. Suddenly, their religion is child abuse. Their guns are the worst thing ever. Their politics is Naziism. All of them are racists, and sexists and misogynists and otherwise "deplorable." When you do that to people, they tend to react with a big "fuck you."

There also seems to be a solid hate for success among the Democrats. (except the success of the ruling class, of course)

If a person earns more money, for example, it is considered fair to take more and more from them, simply because they are successful.

It seems that there are two classes, (of each 'intersectional' identity) and if you are winning, you are an oppressor, if losing, you are a victim.

Sounds like a shit deal to me, but to each xeir own.

"Most" countries in the world are impoverished, poorly ruled, third world disaster areas. If you are comfortable in getting a passing grade when comparing poverty and inequality in the US to them, then fair enough.

If you want to compare apples to apples, then compare the US to a basket of developed western democracies, mainly Europe plus Oz, NZ and Canada...
