In his opinion the blame for a shutdown is to be laid solely at the president's feet, and he should get fired for letting the shutdown happen. Here's how he explained it:
Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Who’s getting fired? Who’s going to bear the brunt of the responsibility if indeed there is a government shutdown?
Donald Trump: If you say who gets fired it always has to be the top. Problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top. And the president’s the leader. He’s got to get everyone in a room and he’s gotta lead.

Trump campaigned on Mexico paying for building a wall. That's not what he's trying to get now.Cunt wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 10:40 pmThe US voting was done, and the decision was Trump. He campaigned - and WON, based on saying he would build a wall.
It was approved years ago, when the Dems said that if Regan would give their illegal immigrant friends some kind of amnesty, they would allow it. Turns out they are welchers, so I hope the Republicans don't bend this time. Democrats are ALL over the illegals, as if the illegal aliens are somehow critical to their getting elected again.
Maybe they are. Maybe that's why there are 'sanctuary cities', turning illegals into voters.
I wonder where you get your false history from. Breitbart, InfoWars, or is it just that you gullibly believe any damn thing that Trump tweets? I won't bother to ask you to cite a source, because you studiously avoid that sort of thing. I'd say that whatever fever swamp you picked up this nonsense from, perhaps you should do a bit of fact-checking before you parrot it. But again, it's obvious that's not how you operate.
Reagan supported amnesty for undocumented immigrants. The first part of the video below is a clip from a debate which took place in 1984, two years before the Immigration Reform and Control Act was passed and signed by Reagan.
There was no deal made by Reagan with Democrats for a border wall; that's pure fiction. There was in fact bipartisan support for improving border security. There still is. Trump's puerile insistence on something he can call a wall is only throwing a wrench into the process of moving forward on a more effective approach.
In 1980, before Reagan was elected, the question of immigration came up during a debate with George HW Bush:
There are practically no instances of undocumented immigrants voting, that's nothing but claptrap spewed out by conspiracy loons like the current occupant of the White House. The year was 1980, the location was Houston and the question came from the crowd at a presidential primary debate between Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush — two bellwether conservatives who would eventually serve together as president and vice president.
Should “illegal aliens,” the crowd member asked, be allowed to attend U.S. public schools?
Bush said immigration policy needed to be “sensitive” and “understanding” toward the “really honorable, decent, family-loving people” that had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without documentation.
Reagan echoed that sentiment.
“Rather than talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems, make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit,” he said. “And then while they’re working and earning here, they pay taxes here. And when they want to go back they can go back.”

As to 'practically no instances', I don't think it would be easy to tell. Sounding so confident suggests that you know more than me, so enjoy it.

It's not difficult to discover what is known on the topic.
'The Actually True and Provable Facts About Non-Citizen Voting'
'The Actually True and Provable Facts About Non-Citizen Voting'
The Trump administration's voter fraud commission was disbanded without even issuing a report. If it had found evidence to support Trump's claims, there's little doubt the world would have heard about it.Multiple nationwide studies have uncovered only a handful of incidents of non-citizens voting. Based on state prosecution records, votes by non-citizens account for between 0.0003 percent and 0.001 percent of all votes cast. Election officials agree that there is no serious problem of non-citizen voting in our elections. The National Association of Secretaries of State, whose Republican-majority membership includes the chief elections officers of 40 states, said they “are not aware of any evidence that supports the voter fraud claims made by President Trump.”

Retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal: President Donald Trump immoral, doesn't tell the truth
Trump goes after retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal for 'big, dumb mouth'
The former top commander of U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan, retired four-star Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, criticized President Donald Trump's behavior and handling of the presidency, saying the commander-in-chief is dishonest and immoral.
“I don’t think he tells the truth,” McChrystal said in an exclusive interview on “This Week” when asked by Co-Anchor Martha Raddatz if he believes the president is a liar.
“Is Trump immoral, in your view?” Raddatz asked.
“I think he is,” he said.

This man is president.President Donald Trump took on retired four-star Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal today, saying he "got fired like a dog" and is known for his "big, dumb mouth" -- comments that come on the heels of the general criticizing the president.
“General” McChrystal got fired like a dog by Obama. Last assignment a total bust. Known for big, dumb mouth. Hillary lover!" Trump tweeted.

It’s hard to overstate the extent to which childish masculinity revealed itself in 2018 as the engine of power in America.
Many of us have spent 2018 trying to wrap our heads around how, exactly, the country whose slightly priggish brand was once meritocracy, competence, and moral authority has turned out to have instead nourished and enriched an elaborate network of overripe, decadent, and not particularly clever criminals. What’s confusing about that isn’t that the myth of our virtue was greatly exaggerated—that much was clear to anyone with a passing knowledge of American history. No, what’s confusing is the extent to which the fiction of decency (whether political, financial, or sexual) seems to have been unnecessary all along.
If Donald Trump has served a salutary function, it’s that he has stripped those fictions bare. 2018 has ended euphemisms and pretenses and politesse, and however much some claim to miss the country’s more decorous days, there’s something to be said for having the outsides match the insides. The myth of the great male American leader has been as robust as it’s been ruinously incomplete. It needed to be exposed, and Trump did so with a beautiful absence of care. He’s not going to behave at a funeral. He won’t sing the opening hymn or the national anthem or participate in a communal gesture unless it centers him. He’ll wander off the stage he’s sharing with the Argentine president, insult a dying senator, forget to sign things once he’s gotten his applause, publicly praise men for not snitching on him. He’ll use his Twitter account as a burn book, and what he’s most grateful for at Thanksgiving is himself. The definition of American “greatness” he has embodied is as precise as any we’ve had.

Not at all true...Hillary is the Dems (left) hero. They might choose another, but at the moment, they have no more 'shining star' than her. lolBrian Peacock wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 6:44 pmCunt wrote:She IS the hero of the left. The US only has one political party: the property party - it just happens to have two right wings; Democrat and Republican.
