No, we shouldn't. In contrast to US officers, they don't have a pronounced history for executing their citizens for the crime of being black. In fact, on a per 100,000 population basis they don't have so much of a history for shooting anybody dead.

Svarty can answer that better than me. He is reasonably popular with other EU leaders. The fact he speaks a few languages has helped. The French used to be as bad as the British when it came to languages.

I've heard he's very fond of his grade school teacher...maybe she has facilitated some grown-up friendships for him.

I can't fault Macron for that. I used to get chubbies from many of the teachers from about grade 5 through high school. We had this 21 year old or 22 year old temporary teacher in 8th grade - man, she was a piece of ass - I'd always wind up having to hold my book in front of my pelvis as we were walking out of the class. I remember one time specifically, she called on me to go write something on the chalk board.... I had to -- for no other reason - walk up with my book pressed up in front of my pelvis.... she said "42, you don't need your book for this...." I just just said "oh, sorry... and kept walking up to the board with it in front of me anyway. I had to hold my book in my left hand and chalk in my right as i wrote out a math problem. My face was beat red. Some kids werelaughing. I am not sure if she ever realized what the issue was. I was mortified.

In at least 2 ways. First it will help his domestic agenda; Putin likes his people to be either scared of the west, or contemptuous of their failings. Secondly, in a broad sense, he is in a geo-poltical competitive struggle with western democracies. In such a situation, anything that weakens any western country (such as Brexit, or the troubles in France, or a divided states of America) advances Russian interests.

I used to think Russia was terrible, then rather than listening to local news, I reached out to some people there. Seems there is a range of experience, just like in Canada.

I am not convinced that Russia is our 'enemy', any more than I am convinced that Saudi Arabia is our 'friend'.

But it sounds like you are talking about him the way that Democrat loonies talk about Trump.
