Instead of bumping into each other, the progressive mosh pits see concert attendees passing quietly past each other, using movements akin to Tai Chi. The Tai Chi mosh pit was inspired by the recent movements in college campuses to use jazz hands and quiet finger snapping instead of clapping.

The postmodern, progressive mosh pit affords concertgoers a greater elegance and allows complete expression of the feelings associated with the rough and tumble music of the concerts, while being inclusive of everyone, including those who are triggered or offended by bumping, shovind and pushing.
