Just look at the people they continually vote in. The republican party is definitely homophobic and does suffer from widespread racism. C'mon, man, this isn't anything controversial here. The only saving grace is that the US party system means that there's no official party line like in our party systems. So there's certainly some non-racists and homophobes there. But their numbers must be small, surely.

The claim was the "pretty much" were. That's not all, just most. I'm not sure how I can prove that (there's probably surveys out there that Seabass might know of), but I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the republican party was homophobic and suffered from prevalent racism.
