Bullshit. He supports racism, homophobia, misogyny, child abduction, white supremacy, rape, rape culture, concentration camps, environmental destruction, etc. etc. just by supporting the guy.

He has written posts clearly condemning racism (in its overt form at least), and I haven't seen him oppose gay marriage etc...

It's more that, in blindly supporting Trump, he has to gloss over some fairly rancid bathwater around the baby...

If he was truly not racist and supported gay rights he wouldn't touch Trump or the Republican party.

There's no way a guy as intelligent as him doesn't know exactly what he's doing.

Really? Do you think Trump is far-right? I'd say he is. He wants to build a friggin' wall ferchrissake. He takes brown kids from parents and puts them in concentration camps. He stokes bigotry and hatred to work all the knuckledraggers into a lather, like any good fascist would. He's obviously very unchristlike, but he panders to the pious to keep them on his side. He vilifies the press, he dehumanizes his political opponents, again, like any bog standard fascist would. He mocks disabled people. Fascists don't like disabled people. He's very anti-science and pro-rich, which tend to be features of the far right. It all smells pretty far-right to me. So, I'd be inclined to put his enthusiastic supporters on the far right as well.
