While that is a pretty thought, who have they got?

I like the back-and-forth more than any one party. My fondest wish is that they bring a candidate who is as strong as Clinton was weak.

But who? I heard someone say Oprah was running. I hope it isn't horrible to say so, but I think that is going further from the deGrasse end of the spectrum, and more toward the Trump end...

The most interesting aspect will be whether the Democrats have learnt anything from the last 2 years (will be 4 years in 2020). I predict they'll still run an elite neoliberal candidate who has almost zero understanding of what it means to be a regular struggling citizen.

I can't be here through it, I just can't do it again. It's been getting worse and worse since 2000. These midterms are bad enough, I can't imagine how fucking horrible and political and everybody all fucking pissed off it's going to be in 2020. Honestly, I have to get the fuck out.

It'll be a blue ripple at best. Right now 538's poll analyses suggest the likelihood of the Dems winning control of the House at 77.1 and the Repubs retaining control of the Senate at 72.2%. Trump have his wings somewhat clipped, but he'll continue signing those Executive Orders.

He'll be gone for good, though, by January 2017.
