Re: Problematic Stuff
Of course I don't treat them differently. The reason being I'm not a moralising conservative.

Re: Problematic Stuff
I find I don't treat most people. Weird innit, how the problems in our heads don't line up with reality?

All of them.

I do treat them differently. For example, If there were an orgy, I would not invite families. (I get weirded out easily)pErvinalia wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 10:02 amOf course I don't treat them differently. The reason being I'm not a moralising conservative.
I also try to respect my hosts, so if I were in some places, I would cheer and clap for sexual displays, while in others, I would call the cops on the perpetrators.
While it is your right to treat people the same no matter how they behave, reality ends up being different for most of us. At least if we want to respect our neighbours.

Why do you think we should accept your conflating of gender, sexuality and specific expressions of sexual behaviour?

I didn't mean to conflate them, just that they are all private, and none of governments business. None of anyones, actually, without permission.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 4:39 pmWhy do you think we should accept your conflating of gender, sexuality and specific expressions of sexual behaviour?
Why should any of them be public matters? All of them seem to be things you wouldn't want government sticking their nose into (or discriminating one way or the other)

Re: Problematic Stuff
It it's the government's business to 'stick it's nose in' if/when people or organisations discriminate on the basis of these private matters?

I don't know what kinds of discrimination are allowed in the US, and where. I am endlessly surprised at how weird it is, after getting used to Canada.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 8:48 pmIt it's the government's business to 'stick it's nose in' if/when people or organisations discriminate on the basis of these private matters?
If someone wants to discriminate, are they not allowed? I've seen signs in US businesses that say 'we have the right to refuse service to anyone'. Doesn't look like they have to give a reason. (in Canada, the signs are much more apologetic and mealy-mouthed)
I suppose you could assign gender police, to assess what gender, and sex a complaintant was, in order to determine if they were discriminated against based on a protected characteristic...

Re: Problematic Stuff
Or the government could do as it does now and not bother what gender/sexual-orientation someone is, and just apply across the board protections regarding discrimination. Fucking "gender police".
Hyperbolic nonsense.

Re: Problematic Stuff
What is wrong with having the government severely limited in asking for information like sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, political affiliations and social club memberships?
Do you need them to see everyones genitals so they can decide who deserves assistance?
If they weren't allowed to ask, anyone could marry anyone. Isn't that what is being sought with regards to trans rights?
Or is there something else they are after?

Re: Problematic Stuff
You said that these private matters are things you wouldn't want the government to stick its nose into. Why do we now have to talk about specific governments here? Are these private matters only private in specific jurisdictions, or do you only want governments to stick their nose in in some jurisdictions but not others?Cunt wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 2:18 amI don't know what kinds of discrimination are allowed in the US, and where. That's not addressing the question I asked is it(?) If a business wants to discriminate on the basis of these private matters is it right for the government to stick it's nose in 'without permission' - and who would they need permission from otherwise?
You're waffling. You were not talking about any particular gender, you were just saying that gender, sexuality, and specific expressions of sexual behaviour were private matters which the government had no business sticking its nose into. Nonetheless, you clearly do think the government can stick its nose into these private matters where discrimination is concerned, but only by instituting a special gender police. If I am to assume that you comment has some relevance to the question then do you also think it would take special race police to deal with racial discrimination, a special disability police to deal with discrimination against the disabled, and a special geography police to deal with discrimination against those from the wrong side of the tracks?
You know it's pretty pointless trying to talk about these things if you're going to continue to be so forgetful about what you've already said and instead respond to the posts of others as if they're the start of a conversation devoid of prior context.
Please feel free to have another go.

Here on application letters that have to judged for a position in a company by an application board, your name, gender, race or age must not be visible. Just candidate A or B is enough. Anything else is illegal.
Cunt has no idea what gender is. Here is part of an American (as he would not believe anything European) course. It describes the difference well:

Though the author has chosen to not be mentioned by name, he/she/it/zir etc. is obviously Dutch, so this article is unacceptably bad.Scot Dutchy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 4:27 amCunt has no idea what gender is.
