pffft, like there are Jews in Columbia to start with... the lie was transparent, and only engaged the morons who wanted to believe in that, I assume she ran as a democrat because she's not white enough to even dream of being able to run as a repub... Makes me wonder how many crypto fascists are camouflaging as dems because they happen to have features unpalatable to the GOP...

Youj're not gonna see me disagree with that... even those who start virtuous and full of good intent are corrupted in a hurry by the necessities of political life.

Recent events in Oz do much to confirm a jaundiced view of politicians...

A proto-socialist "insurgent progressive" Democrat gets caught lying about her background. Julia Salazar, candidate for New York State Senate from Brooklyn, has been claiming she is an immigrant Jew from Columbia. Apparently she only identifies as such, because she was born in Miami to a Roman Catholic father and evangelical mother, and only six years ago she was a right-wing, anti-abortion, pro-Israel campus activist. How the worm turns, eh? Her supporters have accused author Armin Rosen, of Tablet magazine, who investigated her claims and broke the story, of being a malicious, sexist, racist. Quel surprise. Looks like she his high cheekbones, maybe she just confused "Columbian Jewish immigrant" with "Cherokee". Common mistake, after all.

Fucking hell! Is there no level too low for right wing activists to sink to?

You know what, that's so bad it might be, because that fascist running as a dem certainly runs under false flag definition.

Going to be an interesting general election. The Democratic primary for governor was won by Andrew Gillum, a black progressive, currently mayor of Tallahassee and backed by Bernie Sanders, while the GOP candidate is Ron DeSantis, 3 term congressman who is heavily backed by Trump. You couldn't come up with more diametrically opposed candidates. Similar situation in neighboring Georgia's gubernatorial race, African American progressive vs white dude Trumpist. And this in the benighted, racist South. Whooda thunk it? It's gonna be a ferocious contest between entitled millennial Starbucks customers and inbred redneck AR owners. YeeeHa! Luckily we're leaving the country.

You could probably chart Democrats by drawing a 20 mile circle around Starbucks and Target stores. Draw a 50 mile circle around Walmarts, excluding the Target zone and you have trumpians.

I was trying to find a clip of that ad to post here, it must have been on 10 times a night. 'The Big Man Himself'. Jesus. Mrs. Lak and I would crack up when they say "JAG officer". Primary was yesterday so there shouldn't be ANY of those ads on tonight, probably have a blessed week without them before they start with the November ones. What a zoo.

Nope. 100% real. You should see all the ones from the other candidates, it's been a fucking circus of fools for the last few weeks.

Pretty much a circus in Oz, as well. Perhaps there's an idiocy disease sweeping through politicians world wide...

Faaaaark.

The US of A has been at the top of the pyramid in many admirable aspects. Unfortunately it is now getting near the top of the cretinisation of its general public as well, particularly if Ron Desantis wins the election.
