42, you seem to be implying that the same rules should apply to Democrats that apply to Republicans. What's wrong with you and where's your Klan robes, you horrible person? We all know that Republicans are all Neo-Nazi racist Dominionists and all rules of civilized discourse are suspended when dealing with them. All rules of civilized discourse are suspended for anyone who doesn't agree with my political philosophy. In fact, I'm allowed, indeed actually obliged, to physically attack them with no liability attaching to me. It's only right.
If a President does not agree with Democrat's preferred policies relative to foreign countries, it's treason.

Plus republicans have manned 90% of the voter registration boards where it matters. And gerrymandering. So nothing Democrats do will ever amount to anything. We can only get a president once in a while, due to the fact that all republicans are disgusting and can't get anyone (other than Trumpenistas for this one vote) to like them.
Complete nonsense. Democrats are just as much into gerrymandering as Republicans.

Would 'twere nothing the Democrats do would ever amount to anything. The Democrats have controlled Congress for the better part of the last 100 years. It's only recently that Republicans have evened it out.
It’s been downhill since Reagan. And Clinton era was Reublican. He was th most Republican Democrat. Only his penis led him left.

Keep on pretending the Democrats are just innocent bystanders, forever good intentions, forever foiled by the evil daddy-Republicans who just won't get out of the way and let the Democrats make everything right.

No need to pretend. It's basically true. Conservatism, by its very nature, is always on the wrong side of history. Conservatism, in essence, is an unwavering devotion to preserving the status quo. Conservatism is intransigence extended to politics. Whether it's opposition to gay rights, opposition to women's suffrage, opposition to racial equality, and so on, conservatives are always wrong.

The thing is, the status quo is never perfect. It can always use improvement. Liberal types are the ones who tend to want to improve things, while conservatives tend to do everything in their power to impede progress. If conservatives were always in power, we'd still be living in the fucking caves.

And yes, you are a conservative. You are really fucking conservative. You need become a Christian, and you'd be the cartoonish conservative caricature that Europeans have in mind when they think of Americans.

Chicago is having a problem funding their pension obligations to city workers. They've got a small deficit, well actually a 28 billion-with-a-B deficit but who's counting? So they've come up with a plan to cover it - they're going to borrow $10 Billion more. But not to worry, this isn't like all the other times they've borrowed money, this time they're going to invest the money. You know, like they were supposed to do with the original pension funds that they spent on other shit. But you can trust them. This money isn't going to burn a hole in their pocketses. One thing you have to give the Democrats, they're optimistic and willing to try "new" ideas. Just because something didn't work the last 10000 times and in fact led to the bankruptcy of several cities like Detroit, Stockton, and San Bernardino doesn't mean it won't work in Chicago. Anyone who disagrees is obviously a Nazi.

A proto-socialist "insurgent progressive" Democrat gets caught lying about her background. Julia Salazar, candidate for New York State Senate from Brooklyn, has been claiming she is an immigrant Jew from Columbia. Apparently she only identifies as such, because she was born in Miami to a Roman Catholic father and evangelical mother, and only six years ago she was a right-wing, anti-abortion, pro-Israel campus activist. How the worm turns, eh? Her supporters have accused author Armin Rosen, of Tablet magazine, who investigated her claims and broke the story, of being a malicious, sexist, racist. Quel surprise. Looks like she his high cheekbones, maybe she just confused "Columbian Jewish immigrant" with "Cherokee". Common mistake, after all.
