Re: Gender Pronouns
At the boy's school where I taught, I always dressed my young charges as gentlemen (more in hope rather than reality). I'm glad it wasn't a coed school, it would have been tiring to have to say ladies and gentlemen all the time...

Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

I don't think the girls parents would have been comfortable with you dressing them anyway.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Re: Gender Pronouns

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?
The Silver State. 1894.

I am resisting the temptation to edit my original by adding "ad" - I will allow the entire forum to see what a forgetful old sod I've become...

Re: Gender Pronouns
You could've used the gender-neutral "snotface", thereby avoiding causing offense.
