Update 2: Well that escalated quickly: FB is now down over 20% from its closing highs, losing over $130 billion in market value and erasing all of post-Q1 earnings gains, making Mark Zuckerberg $16 billion poorer, and officially entering a bear market.

While Bitcoin is up to something. It's been gradually increasing for a couple of weeks now, as opposed to the usual extreme roller coaster ups and downs.

We need Crump's analysis of what's going on here...

Bitcoin goes down facebook goes up. Facebook goes down and bitcoin goes up. Someone hedging bets on the losers? Given Trumps tradewars could be a safe hedgefund to be in? I'm not a doctor though. View the global economy with alarm.

Odd what constitutes 'success' these days. FB grew at less than the markets wished for (and hoped to skim their share from) It had 2.23 billion monthly active users at the end of June. This was up 11% on June 2017. (Source:Beeb)

The 'markets' run the show these days it seems.

It's always been like that. I remember remarking on the same thing in my late teens when I first started learning about the share market. It's irrational madness.
