Re: Hard Brexit or Hard Brexit
Boris is cunning and ambitious. My guess is he is hoping this will all result in May losing her position at which point he hopes to step in.
I don't actually think the country would support a government with him as PM. But then I would have bet a lot on the referendum result being remain and Trump not being elected - so what do I know. All bets are off these days it seems.

Ah, imagine if there was a proper opposition party ready to take over. That'd be nice.

The horses:-
Michael Gove at Evens as the favourite to replace Boris Johnson ahead of Chris Grayling at 3/1 and Liam Fox at 12/1.
Inspires confidence.

Well it depends SD. If May gets her 'deal' through we will have a decent sort of arrangement with Europe from what one can tell. If it all collapses and we end up with a Tory party in even more turmpoil them fuck knows. The seats as well as the wheels will be gone!

They're trying to force a quick leadership election before the autumn conference season. They might actually succeed too.Scot Dutchy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 2:19 pmBoJo has gone. How long can this mob survive. They dont want to accept responsibility for the mess. The country is rudderless.
A crash general election coming up.

Can’t see it myself. I think his brand of ‘left’ is well out of fashion. Still in a strange land getting stranger who knows.

Re: Hard Brexit or Hard Brexit
Labour got plenty of votes last year on a manifesto of very popular policies. The only reason the Tories scraped it is that they were seen as stronger on Brexit. Not anymore.
