Re: End of UK heatwave? Met Office issue DANGER warning for thunderstorms, hail and flooding
Normally when we have a good spell of warm or hot weather England gets very angry because it isn't meant to be nice here for more than a few minutes at a time. As a rule it brings longer spells of 'fine weather' to an end with a massive display of temper in the form of lightning and thunder storms, usually resulting in a few people getting obliterated too - and serves them right.
On this occasion England appears to have malfunctioned. The rather too hot weather in my neck of the woods has settled down to fine sunny weather and a lovely temperature of 25 or so. It is due to stay like this until the middle of the month too. Except for a day of rain at the end of May it has been like this since early May.
I blame Brexit personally.

It's them blinking Frenchies and Wops forcing their bloody EU-subsidised clement weather on us... Coming over here... putting our homegrown weather out of business... making the kiddies laugh and the place smell of barbeque!

Negotiations are already underway to bring chlorine-dipped Californian sunshine and mechanically-recovered twisters to the UK in 2019. A gloriously buccaneering new age of British weather beckons.Rum wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 12:25 pmThey must be trying to bribe us to stay!Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 12:12 pmIt's them blinking Frenchies and Wops forcing their bloody EU-subsidised clement weather on us... Once we're out of the EU we'll be able to affirm our true British values by importing Dickensian quantities of snow tariff-free. We'll soon have our traditional British winters back - no more of that political-correctness-gone-mad Winterval bollocks!!
