We dont have large aspects of capitalism. Everything is regulated. We have workers councils which have a large say in the companies they work in. Companies have to a Board of Commissioners keeping an eye on the directors who they can sack. Not everything has to be nationalised to be socialist. Northern European Socialism was never that. We have so many inspectorates employed by the government to keep a check on many facets of society. We ombudsman with powers.

Non-sequitur. Being regulated is irrelevant to whether something is capitalism, unless the regulation massively distorts the market to remove most of its freedom.

If you want to claim your country is socialist, then it does. Along with other conditions as well.

It's not the old school definition of socialism, which has (as rEv said) no private enterprise at all. What you and many European countries have is a social democracy, with strong government regulation. Personally, I think something like it is probably a reasonable compromise - you still have the competitive and innovative aspect of free enterprise, hopefully without as much of the inequality and unfairness of purely capitalist societies.

Which was developed in Sweden in the 1930's with the national logging strike into Northern European Socialism which allows a certain degree of private enterprise with a full blown socialist state not run by government but controlled by government.

In its eyes it is and who are you to say any different. America claims to be democratic but it is clearly not as is the UK but they both talk about democracy when 27% of the population can decide the road out of the EU. Russia is having elections are they democratic? In Putin's eyes they are. Like beauty everything is in the eye of the beholder. Do you live in a democratic country?

Why? You have your set of theories which you expect to be accepted. I am pointing out why such presumptions rely on the position you are speaking from and the use such a broad brush is wrong.
