Good - that was bizarre. Anyone who graduated laws school should be able to fake their way through a question about motions in limine, or Daubert standards for the admission of expert testimony. Not sure how that guy passed the bar exam.

How would we get twitter to follow through and delete all of trump's followers off twitter?
Twitter may consider Donald Trump untouchable, but that courtesy apparently doesn’t extend to some of the social network’s other famous bigots—including one that he even retweeted back in November. Today, Twitter finally began enforcing a new set of policies that broaden the scope of what it considers “hateful and abusive content,” deleting multiple accounts that seem to be affiliated “with organizations that use or promote violence against civilians to further their causes.” That comes from New York Magazine, which reports that a number of white nationalists have been banned from the service today, including Jared Taylor and his American Renaissance group, white supremacist group League Of The South and its leader Michael Hill, and neo-Nazi group the Traditionalist Worker Party.

Perhaps the most interesting bans, though, are for Jayda Fransen and Paul Golding, the leaders the ultra-nationalist group Britain First. Fransen, who was convicted of a hate crime last year, is the person who tweeted a handful of anti-Muslim video clips last month that were then retweeted by our own asshole-in-chief Donald Trump. This was met with a fair amount of outrage from pretty much everybody, both because the videos didn’t depict what Fransen claimed and because they were pretty fucking racist, but (as pointed out by Deadline) White House Press Gaslighter Sarah Huckabee Sanders artfully waved away concerns about Trump being racist by suggesting that the “the threats are real” even if the videos were not.

Bizarre? It's totally in line with the whole Trump/Bannon strategy of dismantling the "administrative state". Everyone Trump has appointed or nominated has been either grossly incompetent or hostile to the organization to which he was assigned.

On the other hand I have not noticed you objecting to blatantly obvious lies by Trump and his sycophants.
May I also use the argument that "you haven't objected to what Hillary or some other politician you support have been doing/saying?"
Fair argument if I did in fact support Hillary. In light of me repeatedly referring to her as an outright Wall Street shill, a warhawk, a politician who has, along with the entire party she is a member of, abandoned the working class, continuing the neo-liberal policies of her husband and so on and so forth, you'll have considerable difficulties convincing anybody that I am a Clinton supporter.

Well, yes, becasue (a) I could give a shit less how big or small an inaugural crowd is, and (b) the argument by the Trump crowd was that the images and "counts" compared were from different times in the day
(a) What you think about the crowd is totally irrelevant. (b) If the 2017 crowd were comparable to the 2009 crowd, photos and videos of such would have emerged a long time ago. The event was covered by several media organisations all fucking day long, and please don't try and tell me they were exclusively of the fake media variety who destroyed all evidence of there having been "the biggest inauguration crowd ever".

Hermit wrote:The claim that the US is the highest developed nation taxed in the world?
He's generally referring to the corporate tax rate, which the US is at or near the top. Trump talks in superlatives and hyperbole. I don't hold him to exactitude on those kinds of things. He's talking in generalities, like how everything is the best and huge, or it's terrible.
Even if he were talking exclusively about the corporate tax rate, he'd be wrong. The statutory corporate tax rate is the highest in the developed economies. The rate that is actually paid after all the usual legal deductions have been made is in mid-field.

That depends on what you mean by "electoral process."
You misread. I am not arguing the issue of Russian intervention one way or another. I am referring to Trump's lie that The NSA and FBI told Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process.

I note you persist with your hypocrisy. Trumps outright and blatant lies are not a problem for you, but information from an anonymous source is unacceptable. This is particularly ironic since you then go on to talk the inauguration lie out of existence using - oh! Using what? An anonymous source? No. No source at all. Some corroboration? Sorry. Nothing there either. But your retort looks good enough to you to settle the issue anyway, doesn't it?
