It's the same argument that was rehearsed earlier - that the President is essentially above the law. He is, in effect, the law giver and the final arbiter of federal justice - like God, but with more expensive hair.

Apparently Trump is creating a private spy force to counter the "deep state".

Outdoor retailer Patagonia announced that it would sue the White House over President Trump’s decision to reduce the size of two national monuments in Utah on Monday.

"Americans have overwhelmingly spoken out against the Trump Administration's unprecedented attempt to shut down our national monuments," Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario said in a statement, according to AdAge.

"We've fought to protect these places since we were founded and now we'll continue that fight in the courts," Marcario said.

The retailer also fired back at Trump on its website, changing the homepage to feature the message “The President Stole Your Land.”

“In an illegal move, the president just reduced the size of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monuments. This is the largest elimination of protected land in American history,” the site reads.

Good to see someone taking the fight to this destructive, scumbag administration.

Are "national monuments" the same as what are commonly called national parks?

Roosters coming home to hatch; or whatever the expression is.
Rural Trump Supporters Are Now Regretting Voting For Trump: ‘He’s About To Devastate Our Livelihood’

Donald Trump promised farmers that his desire to renegotiate NAFTA would help farms. But now, the agriculture groups from red states all across the heartland are starting to fight for NAFTA and consider it crucial to their industry.

Though they were warned about potentially losing most of the $17.9 billion in products exported to Mexico, the agricultural lobby was silent on president’s NAFTA plans. They believed that the Trump administration would work out some kind settlement on aspects of NAFTA, but leave agriculture alone.

But just like many other groups, they’re realizing that voting Trump might not have been in their best interests. the president is threatening to withdraw from the deal entirely, and farming groups are finding their pleas to save the trade agreement falling on deaf ears.

“I’ve come to believe this administration is determined to end NAFTA,” said Gordon Stoner, a fourth-generation Montana wheat farmer who leads the National Association of Wheat Growers.

If they fail to sway Donald Trump to stay with NAFTA, it will be a clear sign that the industry has lost its influence over politics. There’s also a growing awareness that the agriculture lobby failed to coordinate on a plan to stop the threats Trump poses to trade.

You got caught in the frenzy and hysterics of hatred and racism believing that you were somehow "winning" something; and now you've been sold out by a man with no morals. No sympathy for you.

No. And yes. They are simpler to set up under

Hmm, I expected some 80% of opponents to stand firm. It’s only in the 30s in the poll

I saw this Hitchens meme yesterday...

...and was reminded of, to me, the biggest, and most disappointing casualty in all of this mess, is seeing people I used to respect, who are generally good speakers and could argue a point well, debase themselves by reducing themselves to bad arguments (because with Trump, bad arguments are all you can have to defend him). Especially the emergence of whataboutism as somehow constituting an argument. Rather than what it actually is; a tacit admission that they don't mind inequity as long as it's their guy does it, and that they are complete and utter hypocrites for decrying the opposition for the same and that it never really was about the reasons they stated for not wanting to elect that person.
