A video clip appearing to show Malia Obama blowing smoke rings went viral Friday, inspiring dozens of people to post on social media about how awesome the former first daughter is, bemoan her lack of privacy and compare her to the Trump brood.

A person resembling Obama, a 19-year-old in her freshman year at Harvard University, was filmed doing the smoke trick. The right-wing site the Daily Caller reported that the recording—captioned "'f------ get your camera right now'"—was posted and deleted by Barstool Sports, but a version of it was still making the rounds on YouTube and Twitter Friday morning. But despite being shared by conservatives who regularly slam Obama's dad, much of the reception to the video was positive.

Donald Trump broke with White House custom on Friday by admitting he was playing golf. He would fit in a quick round with Tiger Woods, he said, after seeking peace in the Middle East..

“Will be speaking to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey this morning about bringing peace to the mess that I inherited in the Middle East,” Trump tweeted. “I will get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!


“After Turkey call I will be heading over to Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter, to play golf (quickly) with Tiger Woods and [world No 1] Dustin Johnson. Then back to Mar-a-Lago for talks on bringing even more jobs and companies back to the USA!”

Time magazine is disputing President Donald Trump’s claim that he rejected the magazine’s request for an interview and "major photo shoot" ahead of its “Person of the Year” issue.

In a tweet late Friday as he spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Florida, Trump sounded dismissive of the honor he received last year and could well receive again.

Trump said the magazine informed him he was “probably” going to be granted the title for the second year in a row. He tweeted: “I said probably is no good and took a pass.”

Time later posted a tweet of its own disputing Trump's account.

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

Alan Murray, chief content officer at Time Inc, said there was "not a speck of truth" to the president's claims.

Trump has promised to revive coal by rolling back environmental regulations and moved to repeal Obama-era curbs on carbon emissions from power plants.
“I have a lot of faith in President Trump,” Sylvester said.

But hundreds of coal-fired plants have closed in recent years, and cheap natural gas continues to erode domestic demand. The Appalachian region has lost about 33,500 mining jobs since 2011, according to the Appalachian Regional Commission.
Although there have been small gains in coal output and hiring this year, driven by foreign demand, production levels remain near lows hit in 1978.

A White House official did not respond to requests for comment on coal policy and retraining for coal workers.

What many experts call false hopes for a coal resurgence have mired economic development efforts here in a catch-22: Coal miners are resisting retraining without ready jobs from new industries, but new companies are unlikely to move here without a trained workforce. The stalled diversification push leaves some of the nation’s poorest areas with no clear path to prosperity.

Federal retraining programs have fared better, with some approaching full participation, in the parts of Appalachia where mining has been crushed in a way that leaves little hope for a comeback, according to county officials and recruiters. They include West Virginia and Kentucky, where coal resources have been depleted.
