'White Supremacists Come to Terrorize Refugees in Tennessee'
The largest gathering of white supremacists since Charlottesville is coming to terrorize refugees in Tennessee. In a pair of towns, locals are preparing for back-to-back rallies by members of the so-called alt-right scheduled for Saturday.

Along the central square in Murfreesboro, workers nailed sheets of plywood over glass storefronts in anticipation of a riot. Police officers milled around in front of the courthouse. No barriers had been erected yet, but Murfreesboro has a little more time to prepare for their afternoon rally than the much smaller town of Shelbyville, population 20,000, with its morning invasion of hundreds of racists to start at 10 a.m.

The rallies would be the first effort by the alt-right to come together at a single event since the Aug. 12 “Unite the Right” riot in Charlottesville, Virginia. Participating right-wing organizations include the League of the South, the Traditionalist Worker’s Party, National Socialist Movement, Vanguard America, and Anti-Communist Action. Each of those organizations has espoused views and policy positions that are either racist, anti-Semitic or openly pro-Nazi.

...

The region has a long history of ties to white supremacy and anti-immigrant sentiments. The town of Pulaski, 65 miles from Murfreesboro, was the original home of the Ku Klux Klan. When local immigrants decided to construct a mosque in Murfreesboro starting in 2009, the local government attempted to suppress it until a federal court ruled in support of the Islamic community. Threats of violence forced suppliers to deliver construction materials late at night to avoid threats of violence. Just this year, several men have been arrested for vandalizing the mosque and placing pork around the entrance.

Organizers of the rallies have discouraged bringing weapons. “Do not bring firearms,” wrote a prominent white supremacist blog. But not everyone coming seems to agree.

“The League of the South WILL be armed, heavily so in fact,” wrote Pat Hines, South Carolina Chairman of League of the South in a comment on Occidental Dissent.

... The town of Pulaski, 65 miles from Murfreesboro ...
The placenames speak of America's heritage as a nation built on immigration.

Junior high school students in Biloxi, Mississippi will be allowed after all to read To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee’s classic novel of race and racism in the American south, as part of their regular study – but only with permission from a parent.

Earlier this month, the Sun Herald reported that administrators pulled the novel from the eighth-grade lesson plan because language in the book “makes people uncomfortable”.

An email to the newspaper from a reader said the use of the word “nigger” was the reason for the book being pulled. The parent who complained about the book told a school board meeting students “were laughing out loud” at the word.

“Is there not a better way to teach about that era and the horrors of that era, other than having kids laughing in class when the N-word is said?” Yolanda Williams asked. “It should not be required reading for all students. My child shouldn’t have to sit in that class like that.”

Biloxi public schools superintendent Arthur McMillan subsequently said that though the book was no longer required reading, it remained available to students.

“This book has not been banned,” he said, “this book has not been taken away from students, no school policy has been violated and students continue to be afforded the opportunity to read and study this book.”

The League of the South decided not to attend the rally in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after an apparently subdued rally in Shelbyville.

'White nationalists rally in Tennessee, but outnumbered by a community groundswell'
White nationalists were greatly outnumbered by counterprotesters Saturday during a "White Lives Matter" rally in Shelbyville and later decided to cancel a second rally in Murfreesboro.

Law enforcement in both cities made painstaking efforts to keep the groups separate. Late in the day, officials said the events had been largely peaceful.

White nationalists had previously said the events in Middle Tennessee were intended to protest an influx of refugees. Thor Henderson, a grand officer in Georgia for the International Keystone Knights, a Ku Klux Klan group, said he was marching to bring awareness to the September shooting at an Antioch church.

One woman was killed and seven others were injured in the church shooting; the suspect, Emanuel Kidega Samson, is a legal U.S. resident from Sudan.

"We've been here marching for the white peoples' rights," said Henderson. "We just bring awareness to the stuff that's going on and maybe we can wake up the general public and just open their eyes."

Law enforcement from across the state collaborated with Shelbyville police to oversee the rally. Barriers kept the groups on sidewalks at opposite sides of a four-lane road while officers watched from the median.

Shelbyville police arrested one man, identified as John Gill Anderson, 20, of Bell Buckle, Tenn., and charged him with disorderly conduct, according to Lt. Brian Crews.

Crews said Anderson was cited for "threatening behavior.”

In an interview, Anderson said he was a counterprotester who had come into the white nationalist section of the rally in hopes of "a productive conversation or argument."

As the Shelbyville event drew to a midday close, attention turned to Murfreesboro, where around 600 counterprotesters had gathered in advance of the rally. A crowd of around 300 gathered on Church Street, chanting "Murfreesboro loves" and "black lives matter" while they awaited a caravan of white nationalists en route to the second rally in the downtown square.

The caravan never came.

Instead, only around 30 white nationalists came to the square. Counterprotesters overwhelmingly outnumbered them there — Murfreesboro officials said as many as 1,000 participated throughout the day across the city.

As the second rally petered out, the League of the South announced it would not be coming to Murfreesboro. A spokesman said on Twitter the group considered the Shelbyville rally a success.

That woman is a race traitor; surely you don't expect a large group of 'very fine people' who've just attended an alt-right rally to ignore that.

The very fine people vote by gut feel. A few minutes of video is all they need. No reading even one magazine article. Trump was their man as soon as he opened his mouth.

This all started in September when antifa type groups did stuff like the above, and announced that "it begins" November 4. There's been calls for the Trump Pence "regime" to "end" and all that. The implication was that something big was going to happen on 11/4. If all they mean is that they're going to continue what they've been doing, then it's unclear what they're really saying. What's the big deal about November 4?
A ubiquitous presence at protests, this organization is best known for its bold black-and-white signs reading “NO! We refuse to accept a fascist America!” and for accidentally doxxing people who signed its own petitions. Its goal is the wholesale impeachment of Donald Trump and the ousting of everyone involved with his administration. Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, called the ad hoc group together after the 2016 election. They’re planning a nationwide Occupy-esque protest on Nov. 4.
Ad hoc group put together by the "Revolutionary Communist Party, USA." LOL.

Note the shirts that say "make America Mexico again." LOL. Hmmm.... so, they're actively seeking the United States, or part of it, to be ceded to Mexico?

A thoroughly American fascist pig - equating Trump to Hitler - well, if you really think Trump is like Hitler, then why wouldn't you be interested in a violent overthrow of his "regime?" And, the signs do say "drive out" the regime -- driving out certainly implies something other than electoral politics.

What, hopefully, will happen is that people will leave these leftist protesters alone. If they get violent, let it be on their own terms. If they don't, then great, they are free to protest, and speak their peace.

If, however, they are going to block traffic all over the place, they're going to have a problem. People with jobs need to get to work, and the roads need to be clear for emergency vehicles and such. This whole practice of the left to stand and block traffic, chaining across roadways, targeting rail lines, like in DC, etc. - and their habit of smashing windows and setting fires, and such - I don't think you can blame people for wondering what they mean by "it begins" on November 4.

Now the right wingers and others who oppose these folks need to stand down. The talk of arming and fighting back against these leftist groups is not appropriate. They ought not be organizing against the leftist November 4 protests. That's just going to fuel the situation. Don't feed into it. Let them stage an "occupy" type protest and carry their signs.

I like the "make America Mexico again." I think that suggests a rather interesting agenda.
