Man, I feel bad for the Puerto Ricans right now.... crap, they got fucking pounded. 100% of the island lost power.

If, as many scientists predict, hurricane intensity and numbers continue to increase due to global warming, then some Caribbean nations may become virtually uninhabitable in time...

We're headed to the Dominican Republic on Monday, luckily Maria has headed north and not even swiped the DR so they just got a bit of wind and rain. It's not going to be super sunny whilst we're there, but it'll be around 30 degrees and a non-stop open bar...can't really think of anything to complain about :drunk:

Well,
as inaccurate as the hurricane predictions are,
at least this is showing a path into the middle of the Atlantic.
Bermuda may be in trouble if it hooks further east,
but the worst seems to be over.
Most of the islands to the west of the eye should get a rather mild storm in comparison to what Puerto Rico got...

It's too bad the Dutch didn't run Puerto Rico. They would have been fully prepared. :{D

Yeah, some of the pictures look like the aftermath of sustained air bombardment. Terrible business.
