How long until all...

Post by Tero » Wed Sep 13, 2017 5:23 pm

...the Democrats are working in the public sector?

....all the Republicans are in the private sector?

AND
...all the libertarians are living off the grid? (Or in Australia, same thing!)

Having worked in the public sector for pretty much all my working life here in the UK I think it is fair to say most of the people I worked with voted Labour (Dems/shorthand). I'm sure in part out of self interest, but also because most of the people I worked with believed the jobs they did were worthwhile and made life better for people even if in a small way.

I also know that almost everyone I ever met who was self employed or ran a business voted Conservative (Repubs/shorthand).

However were have very few libertarians here - living off the grid isn't much of an option on a crowded little island.

Where they went wrong was giving the women the vote.
Imagine if all the women's periods got synchronised? The time of the month could swing the election either way.
I'd love to see David Dimbleby discussing that with his guests on election night. :hehe:
