The "Magic Money Tree". Where is it?

Post by Alan B » Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:25 pm

When May was being questioned in front of a live audience, she claimed that there was no 'Magic Money Tree' as the reason for continued austerity.

But there is. It is hidden in tax havens fed by dodgy tax avoidance schemes invented by dodgy accountants. She will not admit to this or even tackle the 'tax avoidance' racket or the tax havens on Crown Dependencies. I wonder why? Is it because she would lose out if she did?
Independent - Tuesday 12 July 2016
Theresa May’s husband is a senior executive at a $1.4tn investment fund that profits from tax avoiding companies
She said: “We need to talk about tax. It doesn’t matter to me whether you’re Amazon, Google or Starbucks: you have a duty to put something back, you have a debt to your fellow citizens, you have a responsibility to pay your taxes. So as Prime Minister, I will crack down on individual and corporate tax avoidance and evasion.”
That was then - not a mention of it now, particularly when it could hurts one's family...

If you find it, could you send me a couple of seeds?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

No tree. And I've looked I can tell you. If you spend long enough searching though you'll find a beanstalk and they say there are giants and gold at the top...if you climb it.

Cameron/Osborne promised to close the tax gap, and then sacked 1/3 of the UK's tax inspectors and changed enforcement rules so that instead of taking firms to long, complicated, and expensive trials corporations could enter so-called voluntary agreements to pay back as little as 2p in the pound on the revenue owed. There's the magic money tree right there.

So, there's more than one?

(Not surprised).
