Her fault! BITCH :irate: Lucky she was not within reach. I would have stuck something in her mouth to shut her up.

Transgender rights pits the gender feminists against the TERFs.

I have no problem with this what so ever. :tea:

You're assuming that the girlfriends are in the same vicinity and could be bothered to go to the uni's toilets to get free tampons. If they are "in the vicinity" but not actually a student there, it would be rather more convenient for boyfriend to snaffle a few before or after having a piss in the immediate vicinity of the vending machine.
No, I'm assuming that if the girlfriends' are not in the vicinity, then the boyfriends can't physically get a tampon and give it to them, given that they are in two different vicinities.

If they are in the vicinity, they are allowed to use the restroom themselves. Why is it more "convenient" for a boyfriend to go get a tampon from a men's room, then for a girlfriend to get a tampon from a ladies' room?
There's nothing more appropriate than you two having this retarded argument. :hehe:

Tampons! All citizens must have free tampons whatever the gender or toilet in use!

I didn't realize that. So, "the cat padded about the room" could also be said as "the pussy tamponed about the room".

I'm going to try to use that in conversation today.

Brian Peacock wrote:Sanitary products: a privilege or a right.
"The cost of a product that nearly half the world needs every day is too much..." is offered as an argument for free tampons. Almost the entire world needs transportation every day, that's not free. The entire world needs food every day, and that's not free. Things people need should be free. :prof:

Jessica Valenti makes quite a persuasive argument. First, prep the audience with a personal anecdote about how her mother was so awful that she lived in fear for days, hiding her period, rather than tell her mother. Any normal mother would have already prepped their daughter on the oncoming issue of periods and explained that when some blood starts coming, don't be alarmed, here are some pads for you to wear and if you need any help, come and see me. It's normal. But, Jessica needs us to go into her argument with the idea in mind that having periods is a traumatic, fearful experience, full of dread and foreboding. And, costly, the next paragraph details how women cannot afford them - they are luxury items - despite a search at Walmart revealing a 20 pack for $3.76, and some even less. These are items which cannot be afforded by women in general.

"We need to move beyond the stigma of “that time of the month” – women’s feminine hygiene products should be free for all, all the time." So, Valenti's argument is that there is a "stigma" around women having their period, which is why they cost money. Get rid of the cost, so there will be no more stigma. Or, move beyond the stigma, so tampons and pads will be free like all other non-stigmatized things.

Sanitary products are vital for health....so, she says, they should be free. All things vital for health should be free? Food? Water? Clothing? Shelter? Transportation? Medicines? Everything?

"In the United States, access to tampons and pads for low-income women is a real problem, too: food stamps don’t cover feminine hygiene products, so some women resort to selling their food stamps in order to pay for “luxuries” like tampons." Of course, things are horrible in the US, lol. low income women are bleeding through their pats all the time, either that or they spend their days in a fetal position in the bathtub. And, yes, food stamps sometimes don't cover them, but for most "low income" people, food stamps aren't their only income, so the food pays for the food and the other welfare benefits cover other things.

She then references the tax on tampons in the UK, and says that "men's razors" are not taxed. Note, she doesn't say "razors" - men's razors. So, apparently in the UK, women's razors must be taxed, because, well, if women's and men's razors were taxed, it wouldn't look so sexist...

"But this is less an issue of costliness than it is of principle: menstrual care is health care, and should be treated as such." ...and, all health care should be free? Is that it? Even in many universal health systems, there are costs to the consumer of health care.

The last paragraph of that tampon article by Valenti is hilarious, where she notes that if men had periods we'd brag about them and compete as to who had the longest and heaviest, and of course all our tampons would be free.... because, you know, all men's stuff is free. Whatever we need is free, apparently. And, of course, it's sexist that men would rejoice in a monthly period and compete over them like they do their dicks and their poops. It's wrong that men don't hand-wring and cringe over stuff. Men should be upset by it too! :smoke:

And it has infected another top American university, here is Princeton, enacting a program and hiring a new highly-paid administrator to run it, designed at curbing "toxic masculinity." https://www.thecollegefix.com/post/34858/

It's not enough to prohibit illegal behavior, and remedy improper stuff. No. We have to modify what it means to be a man. If a person subscribes to traditional gender roles, then that's not really allowed anymore, well, at least it's discouraged because it is "masculinity so fragile."

All genders and preferences are allowed and encouraged. Except traditional ones. Those are toxic and hateful. If I'm a guy with a dad-bod and short haircut, parted on the side, and I wear collared, long-sleeved shirt to work, with a men's suit bought at Brooks Brothers or something, and identify as the "gender" I was assigned at birth, lol., then I'm toxic. I need to be reeducated, to be less toxically masculine, whatever that means. I'll learn to color and style my hair, wear lots of bangles, stick a pin through my skin somewhere and wear eyeliner, maybe the odd skirt now and again. Then I'll be less toxic.
