Most of the complaints, says the article, are folks claiming the ad campaign is an "incitement" to rape.

This is a big problem when we start prohibiting "incitements" where the person publishing something or saying something doesn't actually call for the action claimed to be incited. People seem to be claiming that suggestive or sexual images of women are incitements to rape. If that wasn't coming from the left, it would be laughed off as ridiculous.

If it's a conservative religious person saying that suggestive imagery makes men want to rape, then most people would say - that's the man's problem - he needs to control himself. Women can be as suggestive as they want. Have it come from the left, however, and women are oppressed, marginalized people and suggestive posings are incitements to rape and part of rape culture.

To be fair, though, he does have a (minor) point. Allegedly it's a bit more than minor in his neck of the woods. Hard to judge that without actually being there.

On a sort of related issue... I think Emma Watson's response to her titty photo was spot on. Feminism is about equality and choice for women. Not a dictate about how woman should look, dress or act.
